This hotel has a welcoming lobby and lovely pool area. We (2 adults + 2 kids) were welcomed with a lovely glass of Cava and orange juice for our kids (no choice of drink). Staff were polite but direct. We chose here as we were moving on to a villa closeby and it had the most facilities. Unfortunately, we had to book two rooms as the hotel would not allow us have two children in one room with us (one child aged 13), even though the two queen-size beds would easily have accommodated us. This, unfortunately, made our stay relatively expensive. When booking, we had requested interconnecting rooms, one to be a king-size bed and the other two queens, but we ended up with two queens each. :(
Dinner on one night was part of a live entertainment evening, with a themed buffet dinner. Sangria was included in the overall price but it depended on how often you could get your waiter's attention to pour you some, which was very infrequent in our case (maybe there's a trick to that?)! This meant no-one was in any danger of over-indulging, that's for sure! Buffet was a good standard and suited our kids well. Entertainment was a magic show, which was good for little kiddies but that's about it - didn't last very long. As far as I can recall, this cost €35 per adult approx. (On check-out we were being charged for 4xadults but it was corrected when we pointed it out).
Breakfast is also buffet style, with tons of choice, spanish style and some more traditional european breakfast fare, very nice. We usually enjoy a good coffee on the continent but breakfast coffee was not good here.
Internet in the lobby was very hit and miss. At the time we tried to use it, it was disconnecting constantly. However, when I asked at Reception after (another) failed attempt, the receptionist kindly allowed me to use their business suite free of charge. Very nice of them, I thought... but if the service connected fine there, why it was so unreliable out in the lobby...?
We had been given two Spa passes "included in rate" (as we were disappointed with the rate for two rooms for 2+2) but we found it quite difficult to get a booking at a suitable time... also this meant we could not go together, as we needed to take turns to mind the kids. We didn't try the golf - course looks very scenic but book a slot as early as possible for a milder time of day. Club-house has nice area to have a drink and people-watch. ;)
The hotel rooms are a very good standard, lovely fittings, comfy beds, well finished. The common areas are nice but, as some guests have mentioned, a bit tired in places, especially in the lobby/lounge area. They should really be on top of this a bit more. Few facilities for kids such as pool table etc but equipment was well worn. Kids' Club available but not sure what the cost was as we weren't there long enough to avail of it.
Overall, this is a good hotel, in a lovely location (need a car), although a bit over-priced. Staff were professional and quite efficient but could probably afford to be a little friendlier - wouldn't cost anything!
