We pulled into Camp Verde late of a January evening, tired and seeking a room. We stopped at the Territorial Town Inn and were greeted by an attendant who seemed less than glad to see us. She did not quote us a rate, did not offer a smile. It was off season and late at night, so we were not expecting to pay over $100. Granted, the dogs cost an extra $20, but it was not really worth it for a quick overnight. As far as the room goes, it was lovely--well decorated with new beds and southwest flair, but when we travel we are not looking for something new and fancy...just a bed. No breakfast offered... clean, tidy, and a bit of southwest swank--if that is what you are looking for!

First, I would like to thank this guest for the kind words about the room being lovely and clean. We do work hard to keep the property in good shape and pride ourselves in having the best rooms in the area. As far as how this guest says they were greeted, we do expect all our workers to be friendly and helpful. So, if this was not the case we are sorry. Our rooms are well under $100 with rates from $64.99 to $78.99 (and even cheaper with AAA or AARP). It sounds like this guest did have a few pets and we do have a small flat fee of $19 for each pet. Also, this guest may have purchased additional items such as discounted tickets to Out of Africa Wildlife Park or the Verde Canyon Railroad from us. In all cases, we properly provide guests with the charges up front. We work very hard and pride ourselves in keeping our rooms affordable, clean, and comfortable. We appreciate all our visitor friends and are the only lodge within walking distance to many local eateries, shoppes and Ft. Verde State Park. Thank you for taking the time to read our response.
