We recently stayed here for one night in July and it was nice place to stop. The surrounding areas were beautiful, but a little costly for the value. We stayed on a Sunday night, so we got a cheaper rate. The room has a coffee maker and has a shampoo, conditioner and body gel dispenser in the shower....the shower head wasnt all that great. They have a nice little 5 foot deep pool and a jacuzzi, which I needed to relax. The casino is up the hill and there is a shuttle that will take you there for free. The casino has a bowling alley and arcade for kids, while the adults play......We had a great time and the staff was friendly, even though I didnt check out right at 11am....there is a little patio outside with chairs for those who smoke....they do allow pets.

Used to live in Sedona and go dancing at their lounge, on occassion. After reading some of the reviews and seeing the overall 4 star rating, we thought this was a good bet. NOT! As soom other reviews mentioned, "paper thin walls!" You could hear everything going on in rooms above and beside you. Couldn't figure out why I had welts on my left arm and ankle until it happened both nights......It was their bedding and the begs that come "as a standard option." Should have brought sleeping bags. The parking lot didn't feel safe and two drunks were arguing outside the door while waiting for the shuttle to the casino.

We told them about the bed bugs and the non-functioning phones (free local service-HAH!) All they said was, "nearly all the rooms were experiencing phone problems!" Not one word about the bedding.

We're not picky, just want a clean, safe, quiet place to sleep.....Not the Lodge at Cliff Castle.

We booked The Lodge at Cliff Castle on line because Camp Verde was on our way from Phoenix to Laughlin, NV and we wanted to rest for a couple of days after driving 2 days straight. Also, the casino was a big draw :) The hotel was very nice and the room was very clean and spacious. We booked a special for $79/night which included a $12 voucher for breakfast. We upgraded to the suite for an extra $10, as did a previous reviewer. The breakfast was great and service was very good. The casino was fun. The hotel is quiet and we slept well.

well first off it took about 2 hours for our room and the manager seemed like oh well. when we went to our room the first thing i see is a stain on the pillow case. the walls were so thin you could hear the people next to us coming to their room at about 3 in the morning it sucked.the staff sayed pool and spa was heated well it was not. the security was talking to every one up at the casino instead of doing their job. the bowling alley staff was horrible they didnt wipe down there tables and didnt put bumpers up for my little ones even when i asked twice. Jhonny rockets was the only thing there i would ever vist again the danced for us and you could fell a good vibe from that place. the managers were nice as so were the servers.
