Stayed for a week in July 2009 with our two children (10 & 12). Peniscola is not a very attractive resort as a whole as there is a mass of high-rise development and it is packed. HOWEVER, the Tamarindos is a wonderful oasis of relaxation amongst the developments. It is a low-build, whit-washed apartments. The people were very friendly.
It is very pretty, with lots of palm trees. We had apartment A1 which is at the end of the block on the first floor, above the reception and immediately overlooking the beach. It was great value.
Their is no air conditioning, but while we were there, there was a breeze every day that meant it was very nice and cool. The pools are excellent and the children's club, from 3pm until 9pm every day was excellent.
This is a very Spanish resort, we were the only English and our children speak some Spanish.
GREAT value....we would definately return.
