“Lovely hotel & area, shame about the village”

We had a very relaxing long weekend at the Atrium, a small, friendly hotel with a decent restaurant and very helpful owners in a run down village, albeit one with a large sandy beach. Quiet, comfortable, good breakfast in the next door cafe, Great roof top balcony with hot tub for evening drinks. Food was good if slightly ambitious (avoid the tempura) with excellent wines at reasonable prices. Take the path at the end of the village for a hilltop walk or cycle and to find some quieter (mainly nudist) coves. Cala Leon was the best we went to - very secluded with few people even on a sunny weekend. Best reachable by hire car as you wouldn't want to take your own down this track. Palm tree lined Percheles beach also lovely, if you don't mind the post-industrial apocalyptic landscape you have to drive through to get there.

“Great service and amazing restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 September 2011

We stayed one night at this hotel. Well located and amazing views of the mountains. Comfortable room with balcony ,seating area and small kitchenette in the room. Friendliness of the staff (especially Emmanuel who speaks many languages) and the amazing quality of the food in the restaurant Manduca at this hotel, made this stay a great one. We had a free parking spot on the road and access to free wi-fi.
Breakfast at the adjacent restaurant included in our room rate was huge and excellent. Great value,

“suprisingly good - would thoroughly recommend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2011

We were very pleasantly suprised when we stayed here for one night last week. Our suite was spotlessly clean and bright and well appointed. The set meal in the restaurant was exceptionally good value and the breakfast in the cafe adjoining the hotel was first class. Excellent value.

“First rate service, food and rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 May 2011

The title says it all. The rooms were great and equipped much better than most in Spain. There was a large fridge and no silly rules about not bringing in your own food and drinks. There was a microwave (though with the excellent restaurant I don't know why you would want it) a kettle and tea and coffee (TEA in Spain !!!) , large four-poster bed, well appointed bathroom with excellent over-bath shower. The restaurant (closed Wednesdays) provided a varied choice of excellent food. My moules mariniere were particularly good and ditto my lamb. In fact six of us dined together that night and all thought the food and service was first class. Breakfast (included in the room rate) was served in the hotel's next-door cafe bar from 7.30 till as late as you like and the full English was all cooked to order. Very friendly and helpful service from all the staff.

“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 March 2010

Despite living not too far away, we decided to have a couple of nights in the Atrium, as we had not previously spent any time in Bolnuevo. We could not have been happier with our choice. We had a suite which had a lovely living area and an albeit small, balcony. Breakfast was at the adjoining cafe and was very good. Unfortunately, we did not eat at the hotel, but would consider trying it out as the menu looked fantastic.
The situation of the hotel was great - very convenient for the local bars and restaurants and the beach is a 5 minute walk away. There is also a bus service which runs into Puerto de Mazarron and Mazarron town on a regular basis, with another operator offering a service to Murcia.
