When I arrived and entered the lobby, it was nice, clean quiet. I got checked in, and was told I had a room over-looking the pool, on the 2nd floor. 1st minor problem - no elevator - which normally for me is no problem but I had a 65+ pound suitcase. Now I do want to preface anything else I say from here - please read the whole review - If you are traveling with a family this is a good hotel - with the pool. Its indoor, it has a fun area around it and the rooms that over look it have little balconies and some have stairs down to the pool, there is also a small mini golf course around the pool. If you are traveling on business request a room that does NOT over look the pool as in the evenings it gets a little noisy for a few hours and there are no exterior windows in the rooms that overlook the pool. Now while the hotel did seem a little dark at times, I do not think it was dirty, just needs better lighting and some updating. The room was clean. Now I did have a problem with someone on the dining staff, I brought it to the attention of hotel management, and I also made a suggestion to management; much to my surprise the very next morning they had implemented my suggestion - for everyone in the hotel. Now I will say that is rare. As customers, how many times have you made a suggestion and felt like it fell on deaf ears. I will say this def improved the image of this hotel in my mind. I do think this hotel is dedicated to customer service, and I did see two different med to large size meetings taking place at this location. So with just a couple of specific requests on your part (the guest) you can make your stay here pleasant. Also if you get in late and the restaurant is closed there is a lounge in the hotel that serves food as well.
