This place seems more like a hotel than a motel. Lacks the amenities a hotel has, but is half the cost of a hotel. Lotsa TV channels, great price, Very clean & secure. Quiet too, for Barstow; no train or freeway noise.

Pleasantly surprised; glad I didn't read Tripadvisor reviews as we may not of stopped here and missed a good place to stay in Barstow. Front desk was most helpful & pleasant and the breakfast was very good. Obviously the hotel has been recently renovated and it was clean and spacious. The reception and breakfast area was bright and clean. Would definitely recommend this one.

If your looking for a cheap, clean, friendly service. This is the hotel for you. There breakfast is wonderful and healthy.

Many workmen with work trucks were here when I was. Groups of men outside were noisy and drinking beer when I was trying to bring my luggage in. Not the best situation. Next to open field. Very shabby and dirty. Lots of noise from groups outside of an adjacent bar until about 3 a.m. However, parking was well-lighted and service was friendly. Typical Route 66 joint--the parade went by many years ago and Route 66 has never recovered. DO recommend seeing the RR museum, Route 66 Museum, and one of last surviving Harvey Hotels nearby if you are into RR or Route 66 history. All are at Amtrak Barstow stop. Some great old RR cars. Lots of Route 66 memorabilia.
