I have stayed here before and it is what it is: cheap room, but adequate for the $40 or so. However, last night I had a horrific experience there. I checked in with plans of simply sleeping for a couple of hours on my way to Vegas. I drive from Santa Barbara to Vegas pretty often and this was probably the 7th or 8th time I've stayed there. I checked in around 10:30 & by the time I settled down to sleep it was probably 11:30. Right when I was falling asleep I received an obscene phone call. It was pretty scary. Obviously, someone knew the room number and targeted me. I believe it had to be the clerk; who else would know I was in that room. There was no one else around when I went into the room. I immediately grabbed my things and left....how would I sleep after that? The clerk who checked me in was gone and the clerk who was working the later shift had no clue what to do. She did refund my room charge but the on-site security guard made no attempt to ask questions about what happened, make sure I was o.k., anything like that. Please ladies, be very careful if you stay here. I want to protect you from any potential problems.

We used a one-night stay here on the way to the Grand Canyon. Sure, room is small, TV is small, beds are old and there's a slight odor, but honestly, it was just what we were looking for - clean, reasonably quiet, and the best hotel shower i can remember.

Made reservation online. Have stayed in Motel 6 before with no problems. But this one was so extraordinarily loud and rowdy with men up all night belching, yelling, drinking and slamming things on the floor (I had the misfortune of getting a bottom floor room.)
I must have been right next to the laundry room or the men upstairs were taking baths late at night. The sound of the plumbing was deafening and woke me up throughout the night-leaving me with a poor night of sleep and the rest of the Mojave to drive through. I'm asking for a refund.

this place is nothing wonderful or special. it's just ok to stay for one night on your way to somewhere else. It's located in Motel-and-fast-food-town Barstow, in the middle of all the other motels/hotels. It wasn't spotless clean, but it was ok...rooms are big, and it's very cheap (40USD per night for 2 people). You can get a wifi scratch card for 3 USD/24h in some rooms. Honestly it could have been a lot worse, and for just one night to get some sleep it's fine.
