to get to hotel Aigua Blava, you need to be a good, unbashful driver, but the rewards are amazing, it is at the end of the road, kindov a dead end of a place, with the most charming setting facing the Mediterranee, with tiny rocky or and sandy coves where you can stay and forget about the rest of the world. They have a beautiful pool in a lush garden, ping-pong tables, tennis court where we played with our adult kids and our 4 years old grand daughter who had a ball.
We had chosen the 2 bdrooms + 2 bathrooms apartement with a terrace with the VIEW! instead of staying in rooms in the hotel itself and we liked our arrangment, we had a full kitchen, convenient for the little girl, a flat sreen TV, a dining room table, etc...
Rooms were with 2 double beds each, bathrooms were adequate, one small with shower, ours with bathtub.
The hotel bought every peace of property in sight and every fisherman house, villas, bungalows, apartments is part of the same hotel which makes it utterly charming and quaint.
Our favorite beach was the one with the 15 mn walk along this tiny pass following the sea, and the reward was this lovely sandy beach with 3 or 4 little restaurants, mostly with spanish families, and the one we lliked the most was ALMAR yellow awning and red shutters for fish, seafood and Sangria.
We lked the Breakfast buffet but had some issues with the food on the pension-plan, apparently the kitchen cooks 2 different kinds of food, one for a la carte clientele, and the other one, mediocre at time, for the plan clentele. I would warn people and recommand the costly but much better a la carte menu, we'll know for next time!
w were there at the end of spetember and had superb weather except for one very rainy 24 H, where we took the car (needed) and drove to Platja d'Aro , the town with upscale boutiques and restaurants.
We also visited the town/village of BEGUR itself and it's chateau and breathtaking view from up there, I recommand it, church square surrounded by little shops and cafe, lovely!
