This is a 17th centuary farmhouse part of the city wall and in a medievil village. The house has many different rooms and ours had one small window as was the custom when built. There is a kitchen that you are allowed to use and they had a fridge with beers that you helped yourself to under an honesty system. There is a wonderful garden - the best bit - and we were allowed to eat our own food and drink wine into the evening. Breakfast was traditional. This was our favourite accommodation of our whole trip.

Booking the accommodation is hard as they only speak Spanish and mine was poor. Maybe best to go through a tourist office.

Our 2 1/2 days stay were wonderful. Sra Dolores & Lluis were so warm, informative and helpful. Ca L'Aliu is smalll, well appointed rural stonehouse bed & breakfast at the entrance of Peratallada. It dates back to 1700's. Owners presented a nice breakfast and fresh brewed coffee for each table. Delicioso! We recommend it to anyone. Knowing that the property is located in the heart of a medieval cluster of 2 medieval towns: Ullstreet and Peratallada which made is extraordinary. Few mins away are the ancient Iberian ruins going back centuries. Days went no need to mind the clock since the church bells will softly toll the time away. Due to low season only few of the restaurants were open but both were great and the service excellent especially El Borinet. Try the new deli just opened in the Plaza square featuring certified organic artisanal products even jams. The owner is so generous when he shared iberico & cheese snacks with us who had not had anything to eat since we left Barcelona earlier that morning. Keep in mind the town observes the usual afternoon closures which may be diff. to get a snack in the mid afternoon. Thank you for a wondeful stay.
