Since my trip plans were last minute, all the B&Bs and Inns were booked but luckily I found a room at the Best Western in Concord. I had hoped to find something in town for our one night stay and this hotel is just a couple of minutes away by car so went with this because of the favorable reviews here. All of the local attractions in Concord are spread out anyway, so staying in town wouldn't have made much of a difference for one night since we didn't have that much time to spend in the town itself. Even though I've stayed at countless hotels (usually upscale), B&Bs and inns around the world, this hotel has to be one of the cleanest I've ever been to (and I'm the type who notices dust on lamps, behind furniture, etc.). There is also a computer by the lobby for guest use and the included breakfast, though not of the quality you'd get at a more upscale place, was quite a spread none the less, with hot dishes such as eggs, waffles, etc. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with directions (though they should update their knowledge of what restaurants do deliveries since the ones they thought did, didn't, and we ended up having to look in the phone book and call a few places before we found one) . There are a couple of restaurants right next to the hotel but by the time we got back to our room we were tired and just wanted to stay put. All in all, it was an excellent stay and I was very impressed with the Best Western in Concord. One last note- it's a two story establishment but doesn't have an elevator so if you have trouble with stairs and suitcases make sure you request a room on the first floor (preferably not facing the parking lot).
