Very basic hotel (probably scraping a 2* in any northern European country). Very misleading pictures on many sites showing a fabulous looking suite room. We asked to see 2 rooms, one on each side of the single story hotel's only corridor. Both were tiny and dimly lit via very small windows. Breakfast was fine and the staff ok, without being anything special. The communal areas were very clean and much more modern than the corridor and rooms we saw. We Live in Granada and usually stay in the Playa across the road, I had some relatives staying there and on this occasion the price was ridiculous, hence us choosing this because of its close proximity. But for being able to use the facilities of the other hotel, this would have felt a VERY long 3 days. The location is great BTW, very close to San Cristobal beach (the best in town) and the shops and town are a short walk too.

Almunecar is a wonderful holiday location , but Hotel La Najarra is not the place to stay .
The swimming pool was not open - it closed for the winter mid september .
The restaurant was not open for dinner .
All this when the resort was still reasonably busy and the temperature was very warm.
We booked specifically for the amenities offered but felt let down
the hotel overlooks a construction site with piledriving going on
Going on a day trip to Gibralter we asked for a 5AM wake up call , it was just as well that we woke up on time because the night porter had forgot
Breakfast was poor with the cooked food being cold , even early on
