I am a Hilton fan and try to stay at Hilton hotels whenever possible since they have a great member rewards program.
This Hampton Inn was great and I would stay here next time I am in town for business. The check in was smooth and flawless, the manager on duty acknowledged that I was a Hilton Honors member and was very pleasant.
The breakfast was up to par, always clean and staffed by a very nice, upbeat attendant.
The fitness center was clean, had a few machines but they were in working order, there were plenty of towels and bottled water. Nice touches.
This is a convenient location, close to Cumberland Mall it's a short walk with plenty of dining opportunities.
Also, there were cookies near the front desk, again nice touch.

I'll be sure to stay here next time I'm in town.

I stayed in this hotel in June 2010. I was in the process of moving across country. When I finally got settled in my new residence and got caught up with my bills I realized that I had been charged twice for my one night stay. I attempted to resolve this issue with the hotel - letters, phone calls, faxes - to no avail. I then wrote a letter to the Hilton Corporate Offices to try and get assistance - no response. After being a loyal Hilton Honors program member for years and staying consistently at Hilton family hotels, I am done with them. I would recommend that you stay away from any Hilton hotel - I have found the Marriott chain to be much more accomodating and customer-friendly.

Me and my friends broke down on the highway over 300 miles from home and without a clue of the surrounding area. So we were stranded with out a car and over 24 hours to kill from the repairs. The front desk worker MIKE was very accommodating and helped us find stuff to do while transporting us within a two mile radius. If it was not for the excellent staff, I do not think we could have gotten through it as well as we did. If I go to Atlanta again, I will definitely be staying at this hotel again!

I would consider most Hampton Inns a 2-3 star on a 5-star rating; this one falls right where it should, on the upside of the 3-ish star rating.

Most Hampton Inns I have stayed in fall into the acceptable-for-the-dollar category. I will say that with over 11 stays in 2010 already, I choose Hampton's frequently as I can depend on the overall quality, cleanliness, the staff is almost always agreeable if not exceptional, and the free breakfast and free wireless internet add to it’s overall value.

This location is one of my return-visit locations. It is excellently located just outside of the metro-Atlanta area and offers me good access to a number of ATL areas when I am visiting. I lived in ATL for 15 years, and this location, Kennesaw, and Alpharetta are the 3 I usually go between (depending on my business meetings). This Atlanta-Cumberland location (actually on the edge of Smyrna) does have a bit of highway noise if this is a particular issue for you as it sits RIGHT on the 285 'perimeter loop' (never bothered me, but it's worth mentioning). There is another Hampton Inn on Circle 75 Parkway less than a mile away and I would, hands-down, choose this one over the other (I was satisfied with the other, but under-impressed, complacent staff, and this one is cleaner)!

The best is that it is affordable, but I appreciate the overall cleanliness of the rooms most. It is not a Hilton, and could always use a bit more cleaning ‘detail’ work here and there, but overall a good choice. The staff here has ALWAYS been exceptional!
