I stayed at the Westin for business recently. The staff were friendly and helpful. The property, which has been fairly recently renovated, was clean and comfortable. The location is convenient to the airport and they provide complimentary transportation to the airport.
I ate at the restaurant twice. Both meals were very good. I would definitely recommend the spinach salad with goat cheese and grilled chicken.
The banquet food was impressive, and that alone would earn the property five stars. We didn't have anything very extravagant, but I had some fried chicken that was absolutely amazing. And though I don't particularly like garbanzo beans, there was a garbanzo bean and jicama salad with cilantro that was very tasty. I even went back for seconds. I also enjoyed the creamy chicken and rice soup served at lunch.
It's a full-service property so, although my group had complimentary Internet included in the room rate, be prepared to dish out the dough for that expense if you stay here. That's pretty common in a full-service property though. It also costs to park, but again, that's common for an airport property in Atlanta.
The property does have an abundance of ladybugs right now (February 2012). Not all rooms are affected, but many are "infested." There was a card in the room that indicated that they are aware of the issue and that the ladybugs just find their way into the hotel looking for warmer temperatures. You can dial 0 to have someone come to sweep them away if they are bothering you, but the card also suggests that some cultures believe ladybugs to be "good luck" and that they cannot harm you in anyway.
I will honestly say that the ladybugs did not particularly bother me, but I do think that some people would find issue with this. I found the "good luck" suggestion to be a bit of a stretch in dealing with a potentially difficult customer relations issue, but I got a chuckle out of it.
Overall, I would definitely stay there again.
