“Great Option in Atlanta”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

Overall we had a very positive experience when we stayed at this hotel around the Christmas Holidays. It seems primarily be a convention/business hotel so we had the place virtually to ourselves. The room was very well maintained, and over looked the big atrium that houses both the hotel and CNN. We signed up for the Omni Select Guest program and received free beverage service in the morning and free wireless, which was a definite plus. The gym/spa facilities were in the other tower and were in immaculate shape, although the pool deck was closed. A short walk away on the CNN side of the atrium is a huge food court type area that had numerous selections including a decent Mexican restaurant. There was even a Dunkin Donuts for our second round of Coffee that morning. The only real negative experience was that the designated outdoor smoking area which was down in the valet area, wasnt screened from the sidewalk very well, so each time we went down we were harassed by people walking by for cigarettes.

Room Tip: Ask for a balcony out over the atrium.

“Lovely hotel stay”

My husband and I went to Atlanta last weekend to watch a Hawks game and to see a play at the Fox Theater. We have stayed at several downtown locations, but this time we chose the Omni and were very glad we did! The hotel is located across the street from Centennial Park and is convenient to many downtown activities and restaurants. It is also connected to Philips Arena...a plus when it's raining. The Omni is not the tallest hotel in downtown Atlanta, but it does have balconies. Our room was on the fourteenth floor and afforded a lovely nighttime view of the city. The CNN Center food court, connected to the Omni on the lobby level, is handy for a quick breakfast or sandwich or a Starbucks coffee. One can also pick up a souvenir in one of the gift shops located there. Our room was large and nicely appointed. Keep in mind there are two towers to this hotel. The North Tower appears to be the newer of the two, but it does not have balconies. The South Tower seems to be the older of the two, but we were pleased with the overall condition of our South Tower room and lobby. The television in our room was not a sleek new model, but it was adequate to watch the Superbowl; flat panel models are in common spaces such as the lounge. Elevators are glass and provide views of CNN and the hotel's interior. (Tours of CNN are available for a small fee.) The bath was updated, large, and well-supplied... bathrobes were hanging in the closet. Parking is very pricey, so we chose to park in a deck a few blocks away after checking in and unloading our bags. Walking is safe and enjoyable in the area. We were very satisfied with our two-night stay at the Omni and will stay there again.

“Great option in Atlanta”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012 via mobile

The hotel is located in front of the centennial park and next to atlanta hawks arena; the coca-cola museum and the georgia aquarium are within walking distance and there's a subway station right next to the hawks arena. It's a great idea to become a member of the omni program because it's free and you get 2 beverages in the morning and free internet in yor room. I stayed in the north tower and had a view of the centennial park. The staff was very very and the food of the restaurant was also great, the tables have little details. The room was great, very big, the bathroom was very clean. A great great stay at omni hotel in CNN

“Well located friendly reception”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

For a large "convention" hotel it has a friendly, comfortable feeling. Reception was outstanding. Room with a great view and the expected "Omni" quality. The Select Guest program is outstanding.

“Great central place to stay while on business”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

I liked my stay at the Omni overall. It was a bit pricey, but since I was there on business, I didn't foot the bill. I probably would not stay there if traveling for pleasure since I didn't feel the value measured up to the price tag. The rooms were very nice though. Great view from the window of the Atlanta skyline. Access to all the fast foody restaurants in the CNN center and walkable to various attractions. And, it was walking distance from the Convention Center which came in very handy. The service was average. I thought it was pretty ridiculous that they charge to get internet access and to print documents in the lab. They are close to public transit though. Overall, if I was to travel to Atlanta on business again, I would stay at the Omni, but otherwise, wouldn't.
