Always had the impression that Hyatt was cream of the crop. Hotel had very nice meeting areas and the staff was accommodating and quick to respond to any request. In-house catering provider VERY good food. Internet access NOT a part of the room charges. $50 hold per day for incidentals. Just to use their molasses-slow Internet. Rooms are tiny. Have to go all the way in to the bathroom to close the door. No fan in the bathroom. Closet only allows one door to open. Closet also about the same size as the bathroom. Just not what I expected from a Hyatt. Kinda disappointed. Oh, and a conference companion checked in to his room to find a member of the housekeeping staff in the middle of using the toilet. Ewwww.

I've been staying at this hotel once a year for over 10 years. I really don't like it anymore. They've done a nice job of remodeling the lobby, but instead of the lovely, upscale breakfast buffet with omelet stations, salmon, etc. by morning which turned into a nice burger or steak place for dinner, it's become some kind of nouvel "southern" cuisine. I'm from Texas. I know something about southern food. This isn't southern food, unless Georgia just became the back hills of some....I won't malign some other State. Grits? Yes. But everything else is almost unrecognizable. It's one of the few restaurants I've been to where I couldn't order anything on the menu except some crackers and cheese. Yep, that was dinner. They've done away with the excellent restaurant downstairs and made it "walk" space. In other words, it's just now a big empty space on the lower level. In short, you can't eat here anymore. Your only choice is a very, very loud bar area. Not good for families. Not good for business. I don't know what it's good for....maybe a 20-something on a sales trip?

Thank you for staying with us over the past 10+ years, as it is always wonderful to have loyal guests return trip after trip. You've been able to experience the property during transformations & events. You have mentioned our outlets, and yes they have changed within the past few years and we're excited for where they are heading. Sway, our signature restaurant, provides guests with breakfast buffets, delicious southern-inspired lunches and don't forget the all-you-can-eat pie bar! Twenty-Two Storys, our lobby bar, is a convenient coffee house during the day with ample seating and outlets necessary for business or surfing the web. Twenty-Two Storys serves up local brews and a beer-forward menu for lunch and dinner, and is a great place to meet with friends or co-workers. We just (re)opened Polaris, our spinning, rooftop lounge. Polaris has been with us since the beginning and we're excited to have reopened it the summer of 2014. Shoot up through the 22-story atrium and experience hand-crafted cocktails and chef-inspired plates. Next time you're in town, we hope you will stay with us and give Polaris a try. We hope to see you then.

Our group (4 rooms) stayed over the weekend. It's a good location if you need to be downtown.
We did have issues with our reservations being correct, but after a little discussion with the front desk, it was eventually worked out. One of our group's suites was even upgraded, nice! Only drawback is to check the bill for accuracy prior to checking out. Do have a drink upstairs at Polaris.

Thanks for staying with us for the weekend! We are centrally located in downtown Atlanta, which provides you with easy access to numerous restaurants, sport arenas and concert venues -all within walking distance of the hotel! Our Front Desk Agents work diligently to ensure everyone's stay is comfortable and perfect. It's great to hear that they provided for you upon check-in. You went up to Polaris for a drink and enjoyed the 360-degree view of the city. It's definitely something to experience. Come back and see us!

Good hotel in the heart of everything in Atlanta, but there are some cons that offset the pros - namely 1) check-in took over 10 minutes, I know it is a big hotel but please staff accordingly 2) slow / overstuffed elevators on the way down 3) overpriced parking and 4) so-so food quality. Offsetting that was friendly assistance, comfortable rooms and that great location. Would strongly consider staying here again on my next visit, hopefully without a car this time!

We're happy you chose our property during your trip to Atlanta. Our guest rooms and friendly staff are always present upon every visit to ensure guests are comfortable in all aspects of their stay. This property hosts 12 elevators, amongst the three towers, to assist guests to/from their guest room. We hope you will consider staying with us on your next trip to the city. If you fly in, be sure to check out the MARTA train system which brings you directly to the hotel ($5 roundtrip, 17 minute ride). MARTA is a great asset to this hotel and is very convenient for all travelers. We hope to see you then!

I stayed here in early December for a conference. I found the hotel was very clean, updated and modern. Check in was quick and efficient. The elevators are fast, even going up 20 floors to our room. However, sometimes going down the elevators filled up quickly at peak times and we would stop at nearly every floor despite being full. The room was clean, roomy and modern. The main problem was the vanity in the bathroom is small, and there isn't sufficient light to use the mirror in the main area for getting ready. We smelled something burning and Zach from engineering was sent up quickly, and he and Larry, the supervisor, identified the problem and offered us a $50 room credit to use in the hotel while the repair was made. They were fantastic! We checked out at the desk due to that credit, and that process was fast and easy. The beds were so comfortable, I slept well and didn't have any issues with my elbow and shoulder that I sometimes get while sleeping. View is partially obscured by taller buildings around the Hyatt. Other than that, I found it hard to believe the hotel had been there since the late 60's.
