“Awful Fitness Center”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

This is a typical Hampton in a good location. It's affordable and reliable. They have a cute little "guest of the day" gift basket for a random guest. BUT, if you need a fitness center, this one is awful. The 2 machines are ancient, squeaky and the room is really stuffy. There is a neighborhood behind the hotel that is good for jogging but I hate running on pavement. I wont stay there again with the many other options in Atlanta.

“Good Enough”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2011

The location seems good, at least its close to where I need to be on Piedmont Road, across from the mall in Buckhead. The parking is very tight, and the WIFI is agonizingly slow. But, the traditional hotel stuff is fine. Its clean, and well apointed. They serve a hot breakfast in the morning, and it has sausage and eggs on it. Unfortunately, they just aren't very good. The cookies served at check-in were very good. Overall, I would say the hotel was pretty well thought out, but not well executed. At least it was cheap at $85 a night on the weekend. It was somewhat noisy at night, though.

“Good frugal choice!”

Stayed here to save while at a conference. Conference was held at one of the nicer hotels there at Buckhead. Hampton was less than half. I'm not too picky about hotels, but also was staying by myself and wasn't really in the hotel expect to sleep. Room was very clean and neat. Linens were crisp and new. The fitness room was small, but with new equipment and a large tv. Breakfast was up to par as is expected at a Hampton. They had a large selection on their continental buffet and the lady who was managing was just great. Would recommend this to anyone looking to find somewhere convenient and economical while visiting this classy area of Atlanta.

I have always loved Hamptoms..thats why i am a member..even though they cant find me on line half the time?? Been staying at the one at Eastchase in Montgomery for years after every Auburn football game...clean, friendly, dependable, work with you...great food..no complaints...this is a nightmare that literally has changed my mind about where i will stay from now on. Left Auburn after a fb game...got to atlanta at 3 their time. Hampton in Buckhead. had confirmation, ccard i had booked it with...this black lady scratches her head and says"we overbooked"...after I chewed her out and told her i had another female and a 10 year old in Atlanta that time of morning and had to be up at 7 to go to another function she just shrugged her shoulders at me...she said i could go to doubletree inn????? in College Park GA....OH NO...i have been there before..my car got broken into....it would be a free night....well, what option did we have...we got there and there was a security guard..we slept 3 full hours got up so so tired and would have had to pay for our breakfast but i pitched a fit that we should get it free since we do at hampton....I am an executive manager and book many hotels for trips...this did me in...wont use Hampton again....I have to know when I have a confirmation, I have a room!!! can't run all over a city like Atlanta at 3 in the morning.....Hampton you truly let me down and lost quite a bit of business......I loved your beds, your breakfasts, your staff usually but you lied to me about my room.....for that i wont be back

“affordable near the Georgia Dome”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 November 2011

We stayed overnight to watch a marching band competition at the Georgia Dome. Although it is not within walking distance of the dome, it's only a 15 minute drive and in a much better part of town. Plus, unlike the Embassy Suites or Double Tree, we got free parking.
Free breakfast was exceptionally good. The front desk host was very pleasant (Jillian?) Although the room was nice, it was a little smaller than other Hamptons I've stayed in. My only bad experience was with the in-room alarm clock. It couldn't pick up a radio station, so we had to use the annoying beeping sound to wake up. The clock had some other issues, too.
Overall, a great choice for downtown Atlanta overnight.
