The Hotel Indigo Atlanta Midtown is a convenient choice if you need to be in this area for a hotel stay. It is located in an older building. The building has been refurbished, probably most recently when it became a Hotel Indigo. There are a lot of bright and bold colors in the common areas as well as the rooms - mostly light blues and greens. There were efforts made to preserve some of the building's original architectural features, especially in the lobby. You will notice a lot of older surfaces that have been repainted an indeterminable number of times. Pets are allowed with no additional fee and no size limits - a rare thing to find in a hotel. The climate control unit worked well and kept my room a comfortable temperature. The main space of the room I received was fine, with a king-sized bed, chair & ottoman, work desk, armoire, and a cupboard under the flat-screen tv. No dresser drawers. The space was laid out well, but on the smaller side for a hotel room. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well. No carpet in the room - floors were laminate-style with tile in the entry and bathroom. The bathroom in my room was the smallest I've ever seen in a hotel anywhere. It's about 4'x4', with half the space taken by the shower. There is almost no counter space available. The toilet is a shortened model to accommodate the tight space. When using this toilet, you will need an awkward reach behind you to access the TP rolls. The sink intrudes into the space for the toilet, so while sitting on the john anyone could rest their chin on the sink or take a drink from the faucet if so inclined. The sink faucet itself had very low flow and almost no pressure. One final issue in the bathroom was the shower curtain. It allowed a significant amount of water to drip or splash outside the shower, which soaked most of the rest of the bathroom floor. The complaints about the bathroom are not the fault of the management, and are a design characteristic rather than a maintenance one. Breakfast was available with an a la carte menu. The choices were varied and spanned a wide range of prices. $3 for a muffin, pastry, or a few other options up to $16 for steak and eggs. I had breakfast included in my room rate, but the voucher only paid for $10 per day. From the menu it was difficult to assemble an adequate breakfast for less than $10, especially with a glass of OJ at $4. The hotel was generally clean and pleasant, but unless you're a fan of the botique-style Indigo chain of hotels, or have a pet with you, I think there are better choices in the area.

Thank you for the detailed review. In keeping with the historical nature of the neighborhood in which we reside, many facets of our historical architecture have been maintained to their original form; consequently, similar structural limitations dictate the square footage and layout options when redesigning our boutique branded hotel - most notable, our bathrooms. Hopefully, you found our work-around vanity area immediately adjacent to the bathroom suitable for your grooming needs. Our "683 Midtown Bar & Bistro" offers a robust selection for breakfast optons, with pricing that is comparable or better than the market for a continental style breakfast, so hopefully your voucher covered the cost of this type of breakfast, or helped to offset the cost of a more elaborate selection. We thank you for staying with us, and welcome you back!
