The hotel was moderately clean. We were in a non-smoking room, but there were cigarette burns in the blanket. The plugs on the wall for electronics are near the ceiling (except for behind the mini fridge) and were nearly impossible to reach. There was a bug in our room, we are unsure of what type of bug, but we know it was not a bed bug or a roach. There was an ironing board, but no iron. The room had a funny smell which we later found out was the floor after sleeping on it. The continental breakfast consisted of waffles (that you can make in a waffle maker), pastries, bagels, muffins, bread, cereal, milk (out of a carton that everyone shares!), and juices. They also unplug almost everything in the room, including the fridge and the alarm clock.
The area around the hotel is TERRIBLE. There is a stripper club right down the road, prostitutes walking down the street, and homeless people on the side of the road. DO NOT go outside at night, you will have a gun flashed at you (it happened to my boyfriend and his friend). As we walked upstairs there was an incredibly strong smell of weed that filled up two whole floors. Late at night prostitutes and strippers show up at the hotel and "room with others staying there" if you know what I mean. The hotel for the price isn't bad, but I would STRONGLY suggest considering the area of town before booking a room at this hotel. It is very dangerous and I would suggest going to other exits for food!
