Stayed at the Springhill Suites Atlanta Buckhead from 1/24-27/12. Was a good hotel for a business stay but it didn't seem like it would be good for a family vacation. My room was spacious and met my needs. It was clean and well kept. One issue I had was that it wasn't cleaned until after 2 PM each day.
The exercise room is a bit small and there was nothing to clean the equipment with when you were finished.
It was nice to have a non-carb choice on the breakfast buffet.
The check-in process was quick, however the front desk staff wasn't very helpful when it came to dicussing/recommending restaurants or in giving walking directions to nearby restaurants.
Also, would have been nice if there was in room check out as an option.
A positive was that the shuttle driver was very friendly

Family getaway between Christmas & New Years.

Great hotel overall.

Location in Buckhead is convenient to downtown attractions. We drove to the Aquarium the 1st day & then the Federal Reserve, CNN, & Coke the 2nd day. The drive was less than a half hour. Granted, it was not a busy work week but the Buckhead MARTA station is close by if needed.

Parking garage is underneath the hotel. It was $20 / day. However, we had a package where it was included. Upon check in, the clerk did mention the charge, I said I booked a package where it was included, the clerk confirmed on his screen, & there weren't any issues.

The rooms were just fine. The beds were comfortable. Everything was cleaned appropriately. We requested an extra blanket & it was delivered to the room within 10 minutes. I agree with some of the comments that the furnishings are a little worn.

The breakfast was typical SpringHill Suites. Waffle machine, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, cereals, breads, pieces of fruit, yogurt, etc. Staff seemed to do as good as they could keeping up with the holiday crowd.

The pool is awkward. The pool itself is fine. Towels were not present. We had to ask for them everytime. However, there is only 1 chair on the pool deck. I asked at the front desk & they said it was due to fire code.
NOTE TO PARENTS: If you will be there with your kids, be prepared to stand.
NOTE TO HOTEL: Can you remove the fake potted trees & put a few more chairs in (they look about the size of a chair)? Also, can you hang a line of hooks on the wall so there's a place to hang t-shirts, towels, etc.

There was a fire alarm the 1st morning. It was about 8 AM. We were already awake. We did walk downstairs. Hardly anybody did. I heard the alarm & heard an announcement in the hallway. There was no alarm or announcement in the room (usually the light flashes in the wall & the announcement plays over the wall speaker in the room). I do not know if this was intentional or if the room fire equipment was defective??? As expected, it was a false alarm. It smelled like something might have caught fire in the kitchen.

Great value overall.

Clean, comfy room with couch and bar. Great LG hdtv, indoor heated pool and spa. Across street from On the Border too. Kid friendly! Our fave stop.

For the price & location I would recommend this hotel. I stayed two nights was able to walk to a Tequila Bar (Cantina) nearby, took to the MARTA to several Atlanta attractions, & used the hotel shuttle to have a night on the town in East Andrews area. Like others, my only complaints are the $15/day parking fee (I paid $40 for only staying two nights) & the breakfast is nothing to brag about!
The room was clean, quiet, & spacious. The hotel staff was friendly. Our refrigerator wouldn't work and they came & fixed it within 10 mints of us calling. The front desk clerks were all helpful... they checked us in 30 minutes early, suggested where to order take out, & gave us directions to the MARTA (easy walk & they'll drive you to the station if requested!) Overall good experience & I would stay here again!
