Where do I start.. I spent a week in Atlanta for work, and I walked away with great friendships due to the exceptional service from Ness & Lounge Manager Shavonnah. I was at the lounge everyday, for breakfast,lunch, snacks, and dinner... and treated with love, honesty, and like a princess. It was one of the best stays I have ever done for work, and will go back anytime. I highly recommend this hotel, and make sure you talk to the service they are all pretty amazing... I know I only mentioned two names but everyone at the lounge was exceptional and food was delicious.. saved me big bucks from room service (which wasn't that great) the service(people) was A+ the hotel is A++... the cleaning ladies kept laughing at me as I didn't want my bed made and all I kept asking for was chocolates... this hotel made my trip

This past weekend we celebrated a dear friend who was diagnosed with breast cancer and is going through treatment. The hotel was very appealing because of the location and the spa.

To set the tone for the weekend, we started of with spa services. The spa was very accommodating organizing reservations for several ladies so that we could all enjoy services at the same time. One of the attendants even shared special soothing and healing aromatherapy oils with our guest of honor. What made even more special is that the attendant delivered the oil to her room, gave her a hug and words of encouragement.

After our spa services we relaxed in our suite (see the pictures attached) - the suite was well appointed and felt warm and welcoming- it was the perfect space to enjoy wine, cheese and chill.
Later we went out for dinner - the employees were very attentive- asking if we needed help with reservations or transportation. We also received an email from the concierge before we arrived - offering up recommendations as well. What I really loved was the energy of the hotel team - we wanted to take a group picture and the door and bell staff were happy to assist and captured a great pictures!

The next morning we ended our retreat by enjoying breakfast at Southern Art - (new restaurant in the hotel) - talk about comfort food- we enjoyed classic dishes like grits, johnny cakes and the most tender fried chicken breast! We went home relaxed, rejuvenated and full!

We booked a room at the last minute and when we arrived they were able to upgrade us to a suite. We would return in a heartbeat.

I spent 2 nights attending a seminar and found the Buckhead Intercontinental Hotel a bit odd; I entered through the bar and had to find my way to reception. I didn't think their entrance was grand enough for an Intercontinental. They were courteous and efficient, and the room was quite nicely appointed, esp the bathroom with a deep bathtub, marble sink and shower with see through door. However, for over $200.00 a night I would have expected at least free wi-fi or Internet. The coffee maker did not work and I had to have it replaced. The documentation in the binder was out of date if you wanted to set the alarm clock or do video checkout. The front desk person told me to follow video instructions but it didn't work. When I asked someone else at reception, I was told they no longer provided that! I was not overly impressed with the staff but the two served lunches I enjoyed were quite good, so perhaps their restaurants are worth eating in...location is only a block away from the MARTA station and a short walk (third of a mile) gets you to Lenox Shopping Mall. There are several restaurants and other hotels nearby.
