This hotel is ok for what it is. There are pros and cons. It is definitely not the best of the best - but it is comfortable. I stayed for seven days before moving to my apartment and here are a few things:
1) Location: good if you have a car (but just as good if you don't). It is close to most things and attractions. If you don't have a car - well it is not so bad but be prepared to walk. There is a Marta station (Sandy Springs) near by, but you do have to walk through a building complex - it's roughly 10 minutes away, depending on how fast you walk. Plus, there is a bus stop near by. You can also walk to publix - but again this maybe 10 minutes or so. I liked the scenery, trees etc.
2) Staff - they were friendly and helpful. They helped me with directions and sending a fax (for free) and they pretty much tried to answer all my questions.
3) Amenities- this is a no frills hotel. They mention free complimentary deluxe breakfast. It's really not deluxe. It was just coffee (no tea!), bagels, muffins and fruit (apples and oranges only) - but this was fine for me. There is no restaurant on site, but there was a really good 'order inn' service that delivers straight to your room door - this was great! I had a problem with the internet though. It kept crashing and worked off and on throughout my stay. This was frustrating. When I complained - all I got was a customer service number. Not helpful - I had to just wait till the internet came back on. You can also print for free in this hotel - which I thought was great. Another thing is, they say they provide complimentary items such as: toothpaste etc.; but that was not actually in my room. No big deal - I just had to ask for it or there was vending machines that you could purchase little things like this from - so that was OK. Call charges/using the phone in your room was not bad at all. You get free local calls. (I made quite a few calls and my total bill upon checking out was $1!). The fitness centre was really just a small room with a treadmill and a few other items - didn't really use it to be honest.
4) Room - the room itself was OK. For a single traveller - it was more than enough for me. There was a sofa in the room, a nice big bed, refrigerator, AC, TV, toaster, microwave etc. It was clean - I will admit I saw one small bug, but that was it throughout the whole stay.
I thought this hotel was OK - it served my needs. I thought it was much better than the extended stay hotel which is literally next door (905 Crestline Parkway). It was not as close to things as I would have liked. I mean some reviews seem to indicate that things were right across the street - they are not! If you are prepared to walk a bit - then you're fine. Regardless, it was OK. I would stay again. I would say book well in advance for a good deal. I paid $40 per night, but booked months in advance. There was someone who wanted to stay an extra night and was told outrageous prices!
