Upon checking in, we found "hair" on the toilet seat and lid. There was food and drink left in the fridge from the previous guest. Also found food splatter on the counter. I requested to have the bathroom recleaned and I was given gloves and cleaner to do it myself. We checked in at 10:45pm and were not told that the desk closed at 11pm. We did not realize nor was told there was a per day internet fee. No one answered the desk phone and walked to the desk to find it had closed. The night housekeeper/security person did not speak any English. After much conversation, found out I had to pay her cash to get the internet password which was $5/day. I did not have exact change and she could not charge it to our room. The desk attendant the next day did give me my change and said this was common practice for the hotel. It did not seem like a very professional operation even though the night lady was very honest and did give us the password and I received my change the next day. Hotel is pet friendly and thankfully you could not smell nor tell any traces or previous pets. You could tell that the room had previously been smoked in though it is a non-smoking property. No snack machines on the property. The continental breakfast included a muffin and orange. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. Did not sleep thinking about how unclean the room was and what I may not have found upon check in.
