The hotel is nice overall. The room was very clean and had comfortable beds. My only complaint is the noise. My room was located across from where the ice machine is, so of course there was a lot of traffic. I could hear the machine running all night & the ice dropping. Also, I could clearly hear anyone talking in the hallway, even if they were speaking in a low voice. So, if you are a light sleeper, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Decent place, just too noisy!

I would consider this a "basic hotel". The location was perfect with great access to major roadways, restaurants and shopping. The property itself certainly served its purpose...nothing negative to say, yet pretty basic. The staff was friendly, room clean, albeit a bit dated. If need be and the price was right, I'd stay here again. That said, not much in the way of a "WOW" factor...but that wasn't expected.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone, for the location and the value. The early December weekend rate was unbeatable anywhere ($52 a night plus tax, AAA), easy access to I-75 and I-285, and close to the Cumberland Mall. Plenty of options for dining, shopping and activity nearby. There are a multitude of hotels in this vicinity, owing to this Doubletree's competitive rate.

Staff are friendly and helpful, and as I've encountered almost everywhere else in the Atlanta area, easy-going. The lobby area is inviting and comfortable, with a business centre, coffee outlet and restaurant right there. As I encountered during my stay, this property and its amazing rates will tend to attract large groups and functions, so prepare for that kind of traffic. There was obviously a teenage girls soccer competition going on nearby, as they were coming and going from the hotel by the vanload all weekend, but they were not disruptive during the overnight hours.

The rooms appear a bit tired, and the amenities are predictable for Doubletree - warm cookie, comfortable bed and pillows, nice soap and shampoo, fluffy towels, in-room coffee, and a complimentary coffee at the coffee bar. There is free wifi in the lobby only (pay extra for in-room). There's not a lot of channels on TV, which is an older tube-style, but for all that, consider the rates.

I would not hesitate to stay here again on my next visit to Atlanta.

Found room for $59 night on Hilton's website using my Triple A Club discount- a $30 savings for a Saturday night. WOW!
Hotel is clean and front desk reception is warm. Indoor pool was wonderful on cool night. Easy-on, Easy-off of I75 with absolutely zero road noise in your room. Safe/secure parking and wide restaurant selection in area.
