The room was big and clean, the staff was great, and was wonderful!

we recently stayed at the Wyndham.. for the ACGA conference. We left clothes in our room, we called several times, most times the front desk phone rang and rang and rang. we did talk to only one helpful staff, they promised to send us our clothes, now a full week later still nothing, no phone call from them. Still cannot reach the front desk. What gives?

This hotel left a lot to be desired. Let me begin with the pros; comfortable bed and clean room....that's it. The cons; unprofessional staff, desperately in need of upgrades, noisy ac unit, drainage problems in the shower, my husband and I had to request wash cloths every day, we decided not to eat at the hotel restaurant due to lack of cleanliness of the area, had to use a malfunctioning security key to leave the parking lot each day which is understandable if I am coming to the hotel but why should have to use a security key to leave the hotel...WTH? The staff appeared to have no interest in customer service and acted as if we were an inconvenience. Luckily, this was a free trip and to be quite honest we should have been paid to stay here. What a dump!

I booked this hotel for Dracon*Con 2010 (September 3-6) and received a message from a friend that the hotel was closing. After multiple phone calls to the main reservation line (they still show my reservation is good and active) and to the hotel directly it has become immediately clear that they have no intention of honoring the reservation that I made almost a year ago for the convention.

Unlike some guests, I still have not received any notification of the hotel's closure and when I called the hotel the manager said I would get a letter about the closure sometime this month. They are offering no help to lodgers in finding other accommodations and did not even provide me with a list of hotels in the area with available rooms.

I do not want to spam TripAdvisor so I am not posting the link to my article here, but please message me if you would like to read it and share it with your fellow travelers and I will be happy to pass it on. If you have/had a reservation at this hotel after 8/16/2010 please take the time to make a formal complaint to Wyndham at their corporate site so they understand the way this situation was handled is not acceptable.
