DO NOT STAY HERE!!! First let me begin with the guest service aspect (front desk) Not sure what the African American gentlemen at the FD name was, but I think he should consider a job in an industry that does not involve "interaction with people" He was not only rude, but also showed complete disregard for guest satisfaction. Furthermore this hotel specifically has a contract of some sort with "CSX Railroad" as majority of there rooms are rented out to CSX staff in training. Maybe that is why the property itself as a whole shows little to know care for "Guest relations" 2 of my towels upon checking in were disgustingly stained with something... The internet that I had to pay for was an absolute JOKE! Upon going to the front desk multiple times I kept getting the same response from them of giving me a "1800" number to call and get help from! I put emphasis many many times to the clerk that he should try and "reset" the router and modem, however, I think he was more worried about his conversation he was having on the phone (non-guest related) than he was guest satisfaction. It was as if I was just some bum on the street walking in asking for freebies. He was lazy, disrespectful, and outright rude!!! By far the worst experience I have EVER had with a front desk. Was no help to me at all when inquiring about hotel features, local areas, and other information pertaining to my stay! It is very clear this hotel property is content with doing the ABSOLUTE minimal because they already have their check in the mail by having a contact with CSX to provide the companies accommodations for the employees in training. Lastly, this hotel itself should lose the "Homestead FLAG" as I highly doubt the company would be very happy if they knew what was going on at this property! Once again, I have been in hospitality for many years and tend to give a hotel the benefit of the doubt; moreover, I do mystery shops for hotel chains and I would have failed this property within the first 10 minutes just by the "check in" process. Seriously, with the way jobs are hard to come by I am sure they could find someone other than the terrible clerk I interacted with during my stay. Long story short, just find another property to stay at. Even if it cost an extra $20 of so a night it doesn't matter! Run far far away from this pathetic excuse for an extended stay hotel.....
