very convenient location, by sky train in a couple of minutes from terminal to hotel! Rooms excellent of size, clean and well equipped. Breakfast is simple but good and quick. Again by sky train easy transfer to Martha to connect to downtown. If you have a stop over in Atlanta on the airport look no further, this is the best!
Extra advantage: from airport to hotel all covered, so rain will not spoil your short yourney to hotel!

I enjoyed this hotel. It was clean, clean, clean! And the bed was so comfortable- the linens nice, soft, clean and fresh smelling. The room was a nice size, good desk space and walking about space. The bathroom was small but adequate and very clean.

The only concern is that you have to walk out of the hotel and go around the corner and walk a short distance to get to the elevator that takes you to the airport skyrail.

This is okay except in the early morning ( and probaby late at night). There is no security or hotel staff around and I felt very ueasy as I left at 4:30 AM to catch my 6:00 am flight.

What a pleasure to step off a flight that had been delayed four hours due to winter weather, step on the Air Train and get off at the first stop for the Marriott Hotel. Check in was a breeze: the staff was friendly and professional. The room was spacious, bed comfortable, shower nice and hot! After a quiet, good night's rest, we happily took advantage of the free buffet breakfast that was included in our rate! Service was superb and food top notch with friendly staff and warm smiles. In reading other reviews, one realizes that often times travelers forget that when they travel to different parts of the country, there are different cultures, even within the U. S. The tradition of Southern hospitality includes allowing guests to enjoy a leisurely meal and exchanging pleasantries. In the cold world of travel, it was a pleasure to enjoy the warmth, friendliness and professionalism of this well located property!

It must not be my year. I am now staying in the 6th different Marriott since January 3 and one again, I am encountering a problem. This one is at the relatively new Marriott Atlanta Airport Gateway. The attractive part of this hotel is its easy accessibility - just take the rental car train from the airport and it is quite easy to reach. But that is where the positives end.
To begin:
Meal service - both room service and the service in the restaurant is below average. As past reviewers have noted, getting your check can take 15-20 minutes. It is best to give your charge card to the server when you get your meal; otherwise, you are in for a long wait. I met several individuals here over three days and had 8 occasions to use the restaurant and the delays occurred every single time. And the other time I chose to go eat in the restaurant? The lunch hour - when there is NO ROOM SERVICE (yes Marriott hotel fans, no lunch room service - only breakfast and dinner -- and dinner is only 5pm - 10 pm -- NOT midnight as the menu indicates.
Need a fax? Better ask your office to call to verify that someone is there waiting at the fax machine to get it. I missed two faxes.
Rooms are nice because they are still new. I figure that with the type of management this property has, eventually that will go downhill also.
And yes of course, the charge for the slow internet service )already mentioned by others)
So to conclude, great location, horrible service-- and NO room service for lunch.
