“Excellent value!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 October 2010

Lovely place to stay especially if you are looking for peace and quiet but you have to have a car to stay here. With the help of our gps it was not difficult at all to find the place. First thought was that it really was located way out at the remote countryside and entering the reception the first thing I layed eyes on was the sign saying "In the middle of nowhere". But it showed out that it actually is located very well, situated between Castellammare del Golfo and Scopello and Zingaro national park. It is also quite close to Alcamo and Segesta as well as to Erice for daytrip (we didn't go there this time). We got a very good deal for staying 2 nights and ended up staying one extra night. Rooms (one double bed and 2 single beds) are a bit dark and could do with a little painting but clean and the bathroom was the nicest we had in Sicily, nicely decorated and spacious. The shower is larger than the standard minimal size we found elsewhere. Beds were hard as everywhere in Sicily but we slept better than at other places so I think the mattresses were quite good after all. Lovely couple who runs the place and they speak excellent english. Nice breakfast, if including cheese it would be perfect! Lovely garden. In october the place was a bit quiet and generally this is not the place for single travellers to get in touch with other travellers I believe. We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely go back there next time!

“In the middle of nowhere but in the centre of region”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 October 2010

Pros:
+ Beautiful garden and restaurant;
+ Rooms design reflect traditional Sicilian style, yet are comfortable enough (air-con, very nice bathroom), don't expect it to be luxorious though
+ Owners (staff) speaking in English, French and German (and Italian obviously), very helpful (we were given few very valuable tips on our itinerary);
+ Good location in a quiet environement, but in the same time - excellent base for visiting many interesting places and nearby beaches;
+ Good value for money

Issues:
- Internet only in reception area (which is compliant with description, so we did not expect anything else) with only one socket available;
- Be aware that car is absolutely necessary; These are not a major issues though.

“a peacefull peace of earth to escape the hectic daylie life”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 June 2010

We have been there for 11 nights. You experience the real Sicilian lifestyle in (what we have seen) one of the most beautiful parts of the island. The perfect spot to see the west-side of the island. Most helpfull wonderfull people to stay with. Very friendly and relaxed. A car is needed. Tip: don't travel the whole way over the island, just enjoy the immidiate surrending, that is so beautiful and tranqeulizing.

“fantastic small family-run resort - a little gem just outside Castellammare del Golfo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 April 2010

The family who own the hotel is so kind. They will do anything to make your stay more comfortable and convenient. The family arranged for bikes, a rental car and for a ride back to the Trapani airport for us. They even provided a meal for us because their restaurant was not open and we had no way of getting to a nearby restaurant. One of the best hotel staff experiences I've ever had. The ground were gorgeous - the little hotel is up in the hills above the town of Castellammare del Golfo. Note: you must have a car or taxi service to get to it as no buses stop near by.

The breakfast was small and somewhat lackluster. The products served weren't very good quality - for example the juice was not the fresh kind.
