We were looking to do a holiday on Sardinia for years now, but were repeatedly put off by the high cost and worry about lacking Italian hotel standards- To cut a long story short, we had a good and relaxing vacation at the hotel, the small beach is tidy and also good for children. Especially the chap running the beach bar and snack place is a real highlight and extremely friendly. Now come the downsides: First, for a rounded Euro 5000 (including all extras, so basically small snacks during the day, cheaper wine in the evening, but excluding flights) during June, we really feel this was far from any value for money. The hotel is Italian 5-star, so max 4 star in reality. This applies to the rooms as well as to the overall facilites. The food would be ín the same category, quite good, but not worthy of 5 stars (or the price). The location of the hotel is not 5-star either (really in the middle of nowhere, which means you need to consume 4-star service at 5-star prices). During breakfast, there was a "charlie chaplin" style piano player who couldn't play - well he was more practicing than playing, which is amusing for the first 1-2 days, but gets a bit tiring thereafter. For 3000 Euros for a week (excluding flights) we'd be recommending this place as a family and couples friendly hotel, but ...sorry.... not worth the price, which is probably even higher in high season. You might ask why we landed here in the first place...here I refer to our evaluation of the hotel Cala di Lepre which to the same group (which was a complete desaster).
