With most things in life you get what you pay for so when booking the 'Shardana' I should have trusted my concerns that such a reasonably priced 4 star hotel (when compared to similar hotels in it's class on Sardinia) would be flawed in some way.
On arrival it had nothing to merit it's 4 stars, the hotel was in dire need of
updating and aside from the receptionist who was helpful the rest of the staff seemed none too happy to be there.
Our room was clean and quite pleasant but had no windows aside from one
in the bathroom, and our 'terrace' to the rear of the room was overlooked by a series of paths to various parts of the complex and barely large enough for two chairs.
I have stayed in some excellent hotels when booking through 'expedia' and this clearly was not one of them, and to their credit after just one phonecall
and a five minute wait I recieved a call back and all was resolved, we left the following morning with no penalties.
Great customer service but the hotel should be dropped from it's pages,the hotel is simply not up to grade, fortunately it did not ruin a great holiday once my girlfriend begun talking to me again when on our way to a new hotel!
