We stayed here for one night on a week long trip to Sardinia. It is in a fantastic location, we selected for a sea view and I'm glad we did. The rooms were a fair size with good views over the harbour. The bar attached to the hotel had a very relaxed feel about it. The only draw back was the rubbish collected was very noise and very early so take some ear plugs.

Nice hotel, convenient for exploring all the beaches of Golfo di Orosei, as the port is right in front of the hotel - and you need to explore, because Cala Gonone doesn´t have a good beach. You need to take the boat for 20 minutes to Cala Luna, which is the closest beach accessible by boat from Cala Gonone.
The room was nice, although rather small. Breakfast (acceptable) is served on the 4th floor terrace with a stunnig view. Beautiful cocktailbar with excellent chillout music on a terrace in front of the hotel, with beautiful view over golf.
Very helpful staff, offered us a car ride to the bus station (10 min away by foot, very steep).
Would stay again at this hotel and in Cala Gonone, very relaxing. Don´t miss a dinner at Pizzeria 2P, very nice atmosphere and food.

Stayed here for a week in September 2010 and were not disappointed. Reception staff and chambermaids were delightful and very professional. The hotel building is unusual and the room we had was a little small but nicely appointed and spotlessly clean. We took the halfboard option for three days of our stay which proved to be a good option. The dishes on the set menu were the same as the a la carte menu but slightly less in quantity, but more than sufficient for normal appetites. The restaurant on the roof has a breathtaking view of the coast and the food is some of the best I have eaten in Italy. I emphasise the food here because I found it to be something special. The beach at Cala Gonone is OK but must be terribly crowded in July and August. There are a number of fairly expensive boat trips to other nearby beaches. Cala Luna is beautiful but even in September there were too many people there to my taste.

We stayed at Bue Marino mid August after a week in Spain and wanted nothing more than to relax for a few days. Bue's location is fantastic. Its straight across the road from the marina where you will no doubt use the ferries or rent a boat services. It is also close to a variety of restaurants and bars in the town.
The hotel cocktail bar across the road is perfect to relax in after a day on the beaches with fantastic staff and well mixed drinks and music. An added bonus is the free nibbles and seamless charge back to your room. It also has free wifi. We also loved the breakfast/dinner restaurant location on the top floor. Best view in CG and I would highly advise dining there for dinner. Ask for a balcony edge table. We thought breakfast was fine. Its Europe, don't expect an 'English' breakfast and Bue has great cereals, boiled eggs, pastries etc. More than sufficient!
Our room was also lovely, we had a sea view one and we will definitely get one again next time we go (when we go, not if). Our room had double glazing which was good given the cocktail bar does play music till later in the evening. It didn't worry us at all except the one night a band played. We're young and normally like this but given we just wanted to sleep and relax it was a bit loud.
I can't say its better than other hotels in CG as I haven't stayed at others but its a great hotel, worthy of more than 3 stars in many ways and met/exceeded my expectations. As said, we'll be staying there again next time we go to Sardinia.
