We stayed 4 nights. Our room was querky with a bed upstairs (no 204) with air con & view over the hills at back. No balcony but we made use of the back stairs where the sun set over the hills.
Staff excellent - always cheerful & helpful. Superb breakfast with full selection & patio outside.
The walk to beach (Porto Frailis) is easy & buses regular to get around. Make sure you ask the staff for a slip confirming your stay to use in local restaurant - especially Ristorante La Baia

We staid at the Hotel Vecchia Marina in Arbatax, South East Sardinia for 2 nights before going to another hotel in Arbatax. This hotel was really nice and clean and in a good, albeit quiet location. Again, in Arbatax there is not much to do, and the nearest town is Tortoli. Even in Tortoli there is limited shopping and night life activity. This is a location where you go for outdoor activities, beaches and relaxation. The hotel' staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel has free Internet (! for those of you who need to be connected), which is still hard to come across in most locations in Italy (other hotels charge in the neighborhood of Euros 35/week for Internet). Overall a good place to stay for a short vacation.

It was all great and excellent, even though there were two things which we laboured a little with:

1) The pomp in front of the window which made quite some noice when at work
2) We discovered only on the last day, actually on the morning of departure, that there was a cooler in the room / how to switch it on! so we have had quite a few warm nights there!

The lower score on qualité del sonno is explained by 1) + 2).

When I booked this hotel I was at first a little worried, as I did not found many reviews about it...
Well, it proved to be an excellent choice : very good location, no pool but at a short 5 minutes walk from a very nice beach. The rooms are big enough, nicely decorated and with excellent beds. Breakfast was very good too, and the very good staff answered all our questions (english and french) and organised for us all the trips we asked for. Very good value, indeed, and I think they'll get in the near future many more good reviews - they really deserved them.
