Wonderful hosts, perfect location just steps from the sea and in the center of town. I had a great time. The hosts arranged for a taxi to take me to the location of one of the greatests ancient battles - Cannae. The hosts were very helpful. the room was clean, beautiful, and looked so amazingly coastal Italian - with shutters and little balcony. The bathroom was small but manageable. I would highly recommend this small inn for anyone who needs a comfortable place in Trani.

We stayed 3 nights at this albergo whilst travelling around Puglia by public transport.
We had no map of Trani and there seemed none available on arrival so initially we felt slightly adrift. The room was light and spacious with a high ceiling and balcony and lovely view of the church opposite. The bathroom was small, especially the shower cubicle, but was quite adequate and everything worked. We used the café next door for breakfast - juice, cappuccinos, fruit, and a toasted panino for under 10E for the two of us. The location was excellent, the piazza was pretty quiet and almost everything is just a short walk away.
We were lucky to be there on 2 June - the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy and the same day was also Trani's patron saint's day. So we had flags, bands, speeches, processions and fireworks to enjoy.

The albergo lucy was in a great position. It was close to the port and church. No breakfast option, and it was quite difficult to find a close supermarket, food has to be purchased from specialty shops if you dont want to get in the car or you can eat out of course.

The port is stunning and the people of trani were all very helpful, we received a free tour of the church by a tour guide on his day off. very helpful.

No parking onsite, but we were there just before the close parking became metered parking. Most rooms have balconies but none of them face the port which was a bit annoying. The staff although not rude, were not overly helpful. Room was very clean

We both very much enjoyed our stay, easy to find, in a great location and immaculate throughout. We were greeted by the cleaning lady who was great, showed us to our room and made us welcome, she spoke no English and we were glad of that and tried out our Italian, it worked! The rooms are large and spacious with enough furniture for a week stay, the bathroom was clean and nice and the balcony was a people watching trap with views over the convent and church and the park. Luca is a very helpful and approachable host, his emails and advice before our trip were great and he backed this up when we met him. It’s a small hotel and that is the best bit, you feel like you are staying in an apartment and are just one of the locals.
I would suggest the rooms have a small fridge for water and food bits, the acoustics of the hall could be softened too. Outside could be noisy first thing but you soon settle into the pace of life and it causes no bother, It would have been helpful to have some more leaflets out for trips or recommendations for restaurants as there are so many but Luca would offer all this if asked I am sure. Close to the train station (12 Euro to Bari return for 2) and to the sea, the park next door is great and enjoyed by all. Trani is a safe place to stay and full of charm, watch out for the strange old man who used to be a tour guide, and wants to take you on an adventure, nice kind chap but a little annoying....
