We stayed here only one night but it was a great experience. To start off, we had cancelled our room as we had been downtown and wanted to stay there due to logistics but we had to find new lodgiings. All the hotels were filled however and when we asked if we could stay the one night in any case, the staff was most understanding and said "Sure! Come on!!!. The decor of the hotel was light and airy, as was our room which they made available to us immediately at some inconvenience for them.
We had some bakery goods from Mike's Bakery in the Italian section of Boston. My wife left hers in the bag but the staff said I could leave mine in the refrigerator available to the guests.
When we went to retrieve the crucanti, they were no longer there. While we were disappointed, it was no big deal. My wife in passing mentioned this. The staff was horrified and said nothing had happened like that before but we indicated it was no big deal because it wasn't and we forgot about it.
Much to my suprise, on our return to Nashville, Brianna Peason, manager of the B&B expressed her concern and insisted on replacing. That she followed up again was amazing enough but when Mike's didn't mail them directly, she arranged to pick them up from downtown and then had them sent to us herselft.
When we left the crucanti in the refrigerator, we knew it was a possibility another guest might have taken them for one reason or another since we didn't label them in any way..That the hotel responded in this fashion was absolutely amazing.
I can't imagine, if Brianne and her staff would go to this trouble for such a minor problem, what they would do, if a guest was faced with a serious problem. I am sure they would do more than any other place you might stay.
The price paid for our one night stay was reasonable. Experiencing their kindness, was priceless.
