Our room at A Cambridge House was just what we expected. We were in the Porter Room in the Victorian house. The room is small with a high canopy bed and a gas fireplace which we used for a little while. If you are planning to read in bed, the lamps do not throw much light. My Kindle has a light, so this was not a problem for me. The bathroom is small, but with good towels and all the usual soaps and shampoos. The shower is strong and good. The continental breakfast was more than adequate with juice, coffee, hard boiled eggs, coffee cake, pastry, cereal, bagels, and fresh fruit. We were only there for one night and it was fine for us. The other Cambridge inns and hotels are much more expensive. This was reasonable, and, by the way, the people at the desk were very friendly.
