I have stayed in this lovely B&B in July and it was a good experience. The location is located close to Harvard square, the host was very friendly, the breakfast (waffles, crepes etc) and the quality of sleep were good. When I am in Cambridge, I'm usually staying at the Inn at Harvard or the Charles Hotel but these hotels were fully booked. It means that my stay at the B&B was a totally new experience. The bathrooms and toilets are shared but cleaned regularly (it wasn't really a problem for me). Wireless internet and cable TV are included in the rates (which is a good thing because hotels in the area typically charge $10 per day for the internet). The rooms have different layouts and sizes so watch out if you need space.
Overall a good experience but unfortunately with some Cons:
- overpriced especially during summer time (OK it's Cambridge but for a few additional dollars per night, it's possible to stay at a hotel or to rent a short-term apartment);
- the premises need a lot of renovation (it was obviously an old building).
- proximity of the rooms may be deranging for some;
- need to walk around 15 min in order to reach the Subway;
- too few restaurants around, you basically need to go to Harvard square in order to find decent food (15 min walk);
- no parking (and parking on the street in Cambridge is almost impossible especially if you have a rental car)
