“Best place to stay in Ft. Payne”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 May 2009

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn in Fort Payne, AL for 13 weeks on business. The hotel was always clean and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I stayed in various rooms during my stay and my room was always clean and comfortable. The Hampton bed was absolutely wonderful and I wish I could have brought it home with me. This is possible, because they do sell them. The staff – Peggy, Amber, Ed, and Carolyn were very friendly and helpful with any questions or problems and made you feel at home. They were also very helpful with directions and suggestions for sightseeing and dining. Karen, who serves the breakfast, was also friendly and served a great breakfast each morning. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

“Very good Hampton.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 May 2008

Stayed for one night on a trip to the Smokies. Check-in was held up just a bit because it was a comped night, and I didn't have the proper document. Called Hampton from the desk and had it faxed. No problem. Manager at the desk was pleasant and helpful.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a microwave and mini-fridge. Nice beds. Clean bathroom with plenty of towels. Nice desk/work area in the room also.

There are a couple of restaurants within view of the hotel, Ruby Tuesdays and the Santa Fe Grill.

Went to the lobby at 5 AM, and the person behind the desk got me some coffee going. She was extremely nice and hospitable. I made use of the business center and printer, while my wife enjoyed the work-out room. It was Talladega weekend, and the hotel was at or near full capacity, yet everything was well kept, neat and clean, even in the breakfast area and outside on the grounds.

Breakfast was fully prepared by 6 AM. Everything well stocked and presented. My wife ate an hour later than I, and she reported that everything was still in tip-top shape for her meal.

This hotel is a nice stay when traveling through the area. It's a snap to jump back on the highway in the morning after a good night's sleep at this hotel.

This was a very nice Hampton Inn. Typical of the chain. Nice and clean. Very comfortable bed. Good breakfast. Convenient to the highway. Normally stay in Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Fairfield Inn, Marriot, Embassy Suites for overnight trips.

“Nice & New”

Stayed there for business and pleasure. Not disappointed. Rooms were nice. Comfy mattresses and pillows. Quiet rooms. Had problem with the air cooling properly but temp was manageable. Pool was freezing... breakfast was adequate...no waffles or pancakes that my girls like.
Beautiful surroundings....a trip to River Falls is a must. Enjoyed the Alabama Fan Club Museum while hubby worked. Overall, a nice stay.
