“Lovely B&B in Lovely Mountshannon, Ireland”

Everything about my stay at Sunrise B&B was a treat. Vera, who runs the B&B, is a delight to talk with, made recommendations of local sights to see and activities, and cooked fantastic breakfasts (full Irish with tea, brown bread, white pudding, sausage, eggs...) that kept me running on full power almost to dinnertime each of the five days I was there. The rooms are kept very clean, from what I could see of my own room and any unoccupied rooms, and my bed was very comfortable. Also, the rooms have different setups so Vera pointed me and my parents in the right direction with a room that had 1 single and 1 double bed. An outstanding feature of the house is definitely the sun room: Breakfast was served everyday in this room with 180-degree views of green fields, beautiful skies, and the waters of Lough Derg, and it's such a beautiful room that I found myself in there quite often, writing in my journal or just sitting and looking out at the scenery. I very much enjoyed my visit to Mountshannon!

Terrific bed and breakfast with a friendly welcome and magnificent views of Lough Derg from the breakfast room. The bedroom was tastefully furnished and very quiet and peaceful at night. The Proprietor Vera was extremely helpful and even gave me a lift to the next town - Thank you!

“our favorite B&B on our trip”

We loved staying at Sunrise Bed and Breakfast. Rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfasts delicious in the lovely sunroom, and Vera's hospitality was so warm and welcoming. The inn is a very short and lovely walk from town. If we are ever able to return to Ireland, we will definitely stay here again.

We used The Sunrise b&b as our base as we went boating in the area for a few days. It is about a two minute walk from the town on a peaceful road.If you are out on a friday evening in Mountshannon it is Traditional music you will be treated to.The B&B really lives up to its 'sunrise 'name,breakfast time in the sun room and the view is amazing. Delicious breakfast and the children loved Vera's french toast with maple syrup !! yum
The rooms are fresh,clean and comfortable with tea/coffee facilities etc.We were made feel very welcome and we will definitely be back to The Sunrise B&B again very soon !!

How nice it was meeting all your family and I'm glad you enjoyed the weekend away from the farm so that you could kick back, relax and be waited on for a change! You have three lovely kids and Oisin & Sean were happy to share the Go-Carts with them. Give my best regards to you Dad. He has stayed at Sunrise many a time and we always enjoy his company. Hope the kids are ready to return to school this week after the Summer holidays ;-)

We took a leisurely cycle around Lough Derg and we stayed here over the August Bank Holiday. Its been a VERY long time since we stayed in a B&B and they have a come a long way since! Vera was so welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was FABULOUS and like what others said there was plenty of it. I loved the options on the breakfast menu as Im not a big fan of full Irish breakfasts. Rooms were great - very VERY clean. The little touches in the room I loved. One to definitly stay in again.
