You really cant find a better value in town. I come to Springfield often and I have stayed at many of the other places including the Crowne Plaza. For the money, the Stevenson offers everything I could ask for. The channel selection is great, the beds are clean and comfy. The management is friendly and the service is great. The other hotels in town are good too, but why pay more? Also its located just adjacent to a wooded area, making a nice peaceful place to stay and relax.

Should have kept driving. Run down, minimum necessities. If you get the jacuzi room, owner will ask to charge your card extra $100. Making the dumpy room $200. until he charges back your deposit. unheard of really. We did get the $100 charged back in a few days...
Keep driving. was not worth it. jacuzi loud and the room needed remodeling...

I saw their ad in one of those travel magazines you get at rest stops. The 2 things that caulght my eye were "Remodeled Rooms" & "Free Breakfast". Neither was true. The entire placed smelled bad. The rooms were not remodeled and when I got up in the morning and went for breakfast the man at the desk said "Nope, none today". There are lots of places to stay in Springfield around this place. Pick one of them.

They say you get what you pay for in life. This rings true for the hotel. If you are looking for an exceptionally friendly person to greet you, bell hop, or a mint on your pillow...keep driving! This is an older hotel (2 stories/access to rooms outside) that has older furniture and looks rather run down. The tv works, the rooms are cheap. That's where the excitement ends. If you are just needing a place to crash and you are staying in Springfield, this is a decent place. It's 1/2 a mile from the interstate. You are also within a mile from:
- movie theater
-shopping
- Red Lobster, Steak n Shake, Outback Steakhouse, IHOP

If you want to stay at a hotel that is more of a "4 Star" type of experience, head 1/2 a mile down to the Crowne Plaza.
