Just to let everyone know...there are bedbugs in this hotel...we were woken up at 4 in the morning....because I was being bitten up... happened to find one bug..and confirmed it was a bedbug. Got my family up and left a note at the front desk because no one was there... expected not to be billed.. but we were.. manager will not believe us. They said they couldn't find any bugs..so they billed us. Do not stay there!!

This property was easy to find and value friendly. It's a very budget operation which is fine for the traveler who needs a decent bed, a hot shower, a continental breakfast, and no frills.

The operators of this hotel apparently do not value customer satisfaction. We were sent up and down the elevator two times before we were checked into a room. At 4pm the first room was still being cleaned, the second room already had an occupant lying in the bed. After much frustration and irritation the unconcerned front desk staff finally gave us the key to a room that we could actually check in to. The hallways were hot and smelly as there were bags of garbage all over. Hotel staff made no attempt to compensate for our inconvenience and never responded to several phone calls and a satisfaction survey. I will NEVER stay her again!!! I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

We stopped here for the night as we traveled by motorcycle through the midwest. Check in was efficient, and our room on the 4th floor was clean and spacious,. The hallways were clean, although warm (apparently not a/c'd), and the housekeeping staff who were working on a nearby room were friendly enough. The room a/c worked well, as did the elevator which we used several times to bring up our gear. We parked our covered bike in the rear of the building. There was no parking available which we could see from our room, which always makes my husband nervous, but we had no problems with the bike. Internet service worked well. I had laundry to do, and the washer was great, but only one of the two dryers was in order, and the lint filter on it was broken, so it took two sets of coins to dry our load. Breakfast was decent....cereals, toast, pastries, juice and coffee/tea. We had hoped to be able to walk somewhere for dinner, but other than a couple fast food places, the only choice was a "family restaurant" across the street, where the food was ok, but nothing special. It was our 35th wedding anniversary, and dinner for two cost us all of $17.50, including peppermint stick ice cream!! (Romantic, huh??)
