This hotel is updated, but the building is very old. The front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. The elevators were very "scruffy" looking and made noises. Our room was newly remodeled. After some time, the TV eventually worked and the flat screen was worth the wait. We had planned to swim and use the whirlpool later in the evening as we were told it was open until 11, however we were locked out before 10:30. The bar seemed pleasant, but we were disappointed it closed at 10 on New Years. The restaurant closed early also. There was much noise well after midnight from rooms on our floor. Even after 2 a.m. people were still having parties, we just left the tv on and turned it up enough to drown out the noise. We had the NY Eve package which was reasonable, and included breakfast. However there was a long line in the morning and the buffet did not include everything such as an assortment of pastries and made to order omelets which were advertised. We got our coffee when the meal was almost over. All in all it could be a great place. Attention to details and guest comforts would go a long way to making it this way.
