“A Night In Prision”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 October 2008

At 730am, only luke-warm water for bath. Carpet not fully cleaned. At 750am, the alleged "free continental breakfast" consisted of 6 English muffin halves. Harried desk clerk with other unhappy guests in front, said they had many rooms full, which is poor excuse for not ordering ahead for pastries, bread, butter and jam. Coffee not labeled as regular or de-caf. The breakfast room appearance had all the glamor of a prison cafeteria. Ultra-thin and discolored bed sheets. Dim lights and creaky bed made reading difficult. Use with caution.

“In transition?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2008

We stayed there for two days and evenings in August. While the rooms were clean, they needed upgrading. On the other hand,
there was a refrigerator and micro-wave in the room. It seemed
to me that someone ws tin the process of upgrading the facility.

They were paintinig the entrance, and the pool gate was almost off its hinges, the outdoor carpet on the sidewalks was torn and worn,

But the staff was excellent! Very helpful/congenial.

I still haven't decided if the experience was worth the price we
paid.

“One of the family at Days Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 August 2008

When you set foot in the Days Inn, Springfield, you know you are entering a warm family environment from the classy, yet inviting decor to the portrait of the owners on the wall. From check in to check out the staff was courteous and helpful. The management went out of their way to make sure our stay was everything we needed it to be. I observed Craig Chandler (the owner/Operator) personally greeting guests and even personally served all the guests Belgian waffles and talked with them like family. It is obvious that this was no run of the mill hotel...from the clean pool, to the spotless rooms and parking lot to the extra amenities given to all--this was a property that goes the extra mile. Next time I plan to visit Branson or Springfield, my family and I will look up this charming hotel.

“WHAT housekeeping?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 June 2005

Yes, this is indeed a moderately-priced chain, but when you pay $89 per night, you should expect to have some modicum of service. The rooms aren't anything to jump up and down about, and during my two-night stay, housekeeping came in to TAKE used bathroom linens, but failed to provide any fresh. They also failed to make the bed. Not a fluke--a friend staying two doors down had exactly the same problem, and when I was there for two nights in July 2004, the same thing happened then. I guess they expect guests to request COMPLETE housekeeping services when they check in. The desk manager expressed dismay about this when I related the issue at check-out, and said that I should have called--but guests shouldn't have to call about repeated failures of what should be the most basic of guest services.
