We stayed here one night during the annual Rt 66 Fest in downtown Springfield. I booked this thru Hotwire, Hotwire claiming it's a three star chain hotel. It's not. It's about a five mile ride to any of the Springfield attractions. There are plenty of restaurant options in the hotel area and a Mexican restaurant connected to the end of the hotel. It's a very long two story hotel that includes free parking.
Check in was easy and we were able to check in early. The hotel is completely non smoking and we had a double queen room. The room seemed clean but was rather bland. Old style television, microwave and a mini fridge which vibrated and made so much noise we had to unplug it from the wall. A ironing board and coffee maker were also in the room. Beds were decent and each had three pillows. Bathroom was plain and the shower water pressure was fine. During the day our room floor vibrated due to we were above the hotels laundry room. It didn't happen at night.
The hotel has a indoor pool and when we went to look at it the smell of bleach was so strong it made our eyes water. Included was "free" breakfast which consisted of so cereal, breads, make your own waffles, juices, scrambled eggs and sausage. Too bad when we tried to eat they didn't have any forks ( I asked ) and condiments and the eggs and sausage were luke warm.
We've been to Springfield many times and this is our first visit to this hotel. While it served it's purpose we'll most likely choose something different upon our next stay.
