First Hotel on our road trip and a pleasant way to start. Clean rooms with all the facilitys you need and a good breakfast to get us up and running in the morning.What with a Cracker Barrel across the car park for our evening meal and friendly hotel staff telling what to see in the local area this was the perfect start on our 4500 miles trip around the beautiful USA.

THis hotel best suited me as far as the location, room service and all the hotel amenities. They had very good breakfast.. amazing..

I stayed at this hotel because of work related duties. I stayed here two nights during the week ((Tuesday & Wednesday). The breakfast was okay with biscuit & gravy, waffles, hard boiled eggs, cereal, bread, muffins, bagels, milk, juices, coffee and tea. The hotel had free coffee in the lobby when you first arrive.

The hotel is located next door to a Cracker Barrel, McDonalds within walking distance, Antonio's Pizza (carryout), Wendy's, Taco Bell, Subway and several other eating places. You should be able to find several places near the hotel or drive a short distance (2-3 miles) for multiple other places. I love the pizza at Antonio's. This is a carryout place, however, the food is excellent. I returned to the hotel and was able to eat at the breakfast area in the hotel.

Springfield has many forms of entertainment and many restaurants (over several hundred restaurants in the area). If you want a drink, there are two small bars next to Antonio's in the small strip mall. We have been able to order the pizza and eat it at the bars. I would always ask before ordering the pizza. There are several places in the immediate area.

The interstate is approximately 1/4-to-1/2 mile. There are two gas stations with convenience stores. This is a nice quiet area without any major problems. This hotel does fill up on a regular basis. Many times the hotel fills up due to the location near several state training areas.

I was able to sleep both evenings without any problems. The hotel does have a pool area, ice machines, vending machines and an exercise room (not a lot of equipment). There are other larger facilities within driving distance.

Convenient to exit 90 off I-55, only a few miles to downtown Springfield and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library & Museum.
Lovely room, great continental breakfast.
Lake Pointe Grill is just a few blocks away, good menu and bar.
Cracker Barrel next door.
Excellent price, will stay again when in the area.
