This was the worst place I have been too. Arriving at 2:00 in morning, we found that our room (bed) had recently been slept in... The room was not cleaned at all, dishes, trash etc... After traveling for the day, we were unable to take a shower, as there was no towels, soap or anything. Returning to the office to try to get towels, they were closed. After pulling out the pull out bed... It was brown! The kids had to slept on the floor, which was also gross. Even after complaining, nothing got done. This place was a complete dump and should be shut down. Don't waste your money on this place. We were suppose to stay here for 5 days, we got the hell out of here on Day 2.

One of the ladies in the room had bites and we found bugs on the mattress associated with the hide-a-bed. The room was not clean. The toilet seat had what appeared to be vomit on it that one of the ladies was able to wipe off which says that it had not been cleaned if we could remove it. We wore our socks in the room at all times. There were also orange stains on the countertop. The mattress protector on the bed that pulls out of the wall had bad stains on it. The room was very dirty and smelled of smoke. If I was not with a group I would have left immediately. We did cancel our reservations for the second night after we found the bugs. This turned out to be an expensive trip after we exterminated everything.The front desk hours are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

We had made this last minute reservation thinking we would be staying at Hawthorn Suites. We quickly found out upon arrival that this is no longer a Hawthorn Suites, but a private, non-chain hotel. I'm guessing that Hawthorn dumped this property due to it's condition. This is an older multiple building apartment style hotel. Our room was an upper unit and we arrived during a heavy snow. None of the sidewalks or steps had been cleared. They still were not cleared the next morning long after the snow had stopped making the old steps VERY slippery, especially with luggage and kids in tow. The room was like a flashback to the 80's-- everything from the furniture, appliances, and fixtures are in a desperate need of an update. The room had spiders, cobwebs, and dust accumulation on the vents that made me less than comfortable. The bath was also less than clean. The pull out couch had sheets that were thin, yellow, and musty which made me very uneasy to put my kids to sleep there. There is no longer breakfast offered here either, however, seeing the cleanliness of the rooms and property I probably wouldn't have eaten it anyway. I treid to checkout at approximately 8:30AM on a Saturday morning only to find the main building of the hotel locked.....what kind of hotel doesn't have staff available on a Saturday morning???? There are plenty of hotels in Omaha to stay & this isn't one of them.

I stayed in thisplace in 1990 when it was a Residence Inn. Back then it was very nice. In 20 years, not much has changed. The rooms are clean but they're showing signs of wear. Some of the furniture is old, as well as the TV. The place has a kitchenette, but the only good thing about it was the refridgerator & microwave. A lot of the dishes and flatware are missing. The coffee pot did not have the proper carafe, so it didn't work. There is a stove but I didn't use it. On the good side it still has a fireplace that uses Duraflame logs. There's lots of room; a nice sitting area by the fireplace and a queen bed. This is a decent place for those wanting a lot of room or if you want a short romantic stay on a budget. Plenty of restaurants and a grocery store close by.

During my stay the hotel changed hands. It is now the Aspen Ridge Extended Stay. Let's see what they do with the place......
