Whenever I stay at any hotel, I look for cleanliness. After a long drive on I-80, my husband and I just wanted to stay at a friendly and clean hotel. That was exactly what I found at this one. Both the ladies we saw at the front desk treated my husband and I with respect and kindness, cracking jokes. They also provided me with free toothpaste and a toothbrush the next morning since I forgot to pack mine! Since we arrived a little ahead of schedule, we decided to have dinner (& drinks!) at the restaurant next door (I had a delish burger and local beer). Walking back to the hotel, we spotted the pool and decided to take a dip before going to bed. I was very happy that our room was clean and had a microwave and fridge so that was nice since we could store our leftovers. The fact that the bathroom and bed looked clean made me feel much more comfortable. Oh yes, the breakfast was also very good - my husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy and I loved the waffles and sausage. We definitely took advantage of the breakfast! The negative I found was that, even though we had a good hour or 2 to ourselves at the pool, it closed around 10 or so. We will definitely be staying here again during our many drives along 80.
