“So Authentic! Loved it!”

What a great Bed and Breakfast this place is! The house is gorgeous! Was a little worried because I read so many negative reviews about the place looking 'old' and 'paint peeling'... But when it comes to old houses, I like a little character.... I am SO happy that I decided to book the room! This place is so authentic and wonderful - Even the doors are the original doors! Every room has it's own personality.... Breakfast was simple (banana, muffins, cookies, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, tea) - And the owners were really sweet.... We hung out and played with their dogs all morning. It really has a 'homey' feeling..... I live in TX, but I hope to visit again soon.

“Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cornerstone Bed and Breakfast.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 October 2010

The Cornerstone Inn B&B provided a delightful setting for the reunion of sixteen sorority sisters. This historical mansion provided a charming place and the space needed for the conversation of our group both in the living room and on the outside patio in a private atmosphere. The bedrooms provided just the right amount of space for our group comfortably. The breakfasts, served in the beautiful dining room, were just right with home made breads, fresh fruit coffee and tea and a larger delicious brunch on Sunday. The owners of the house, Juli and Mark were most gracious and actively asked how they could meet our needs. The location of the house makes getting out and about easy. The four days we spent at the Cornerstone Inn were described as "perfect"--we couldn't have asked for more.

“B&B was dirty, food was just okay and the innkeeper was extremely rude”

I stayed here a couple of months ago and will not ever plan to return. I have family in Omaha, NE and would much rather stay there or at another hotel, motel or B&B than ever consider going back. I wish I would've considered other comments posted on here. Food wasn't bad, but nothing to stand on your head about. The place is definitely run down and not very clean. You never saw the innkeepers, which is fine, but when you did, they were extremely RUDE. Never again.

We have implemented changes to our housekeeping to address issues of cleanliness. We clearly were not at our best when this guest stayed, and we regret that the guest left unhappy. We do our utmost to make every guest's stay as comfortable as possible. We are sorry that was not the case in this instance.

“Fresh-baked cookies on arrival”

I loved the grand architecture of this mansion, and was pleased to be greeted with just-baked chocolate chip cookies on the landing when we were shown to our room. We were in the Castle view room, and liked looking out on the grounds of Joslyn Castle. The room was very large, and the king sized bed, couch, vanity, dresser, armoire and bench all had lots of room around them. It was nice to have so much charm and to not feel cramped at all. I'm not used to having a TV in the bedroom of a B&B, so I didn't pay much attention to the little thing. Breakfast was great with an egg souffle, sausage, cinnamon roll and fruit with home grown raspberries. What a treat! It was a lovely and romantic trip.

“Okay..BUT!!”

This is our 2nd stay together (my husband's 3rd) and I must say that the place is going down hill. We stayed 10 years ago with the old owners and now this is my first time with the new owners. I really feel the place is falling a part. This place is in need of repair-badly! Old furniture mixed in with some antiques, run down rugs, odd showers, and stuffy. It was very disappointing seeing the Inn in this shape. Breakfast-horrible, during the week it is basic-ceral, bagels. I asked for bananas that weren't so riped and they said that was all they had, where is the fresh fruit? I couldn't find my InnKeeper during our visit and then when we left we hope that they would find our key for they weren't there when we left..Very absent InnKeepers, nice peope, very absent..If you like that, this it the place for you!
Also, we had a visitor one day, a bat, they took care of the problem and we didn't make a big deal, however, it was a bit uncomfortable. I would not recommend this place at all. I was SO happy to leave it. Omaha is limited on places to stay and I use to count on this one..Not anymore!

We are sorry this guest feels we are not adequately keeping up our facility. When she and her husband stayed with us, we were in the process of replacing the slate roof and experienced a few unusual issues due do that renovation. We continue to work on our house and hope that other guests will find it both clean and comfortable.
