“Beautiful Decor, Very nice taff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

We stayed here on February 4th. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. The decor through out is extremely modern, but tasteful. The staff at the counter was very helpful. The night we stayed was a huge snowstorm, and the valet staff was helping direct people around since you couldn't read the signs outside for where to park, etc. I would absolutely stay again.

Thank you for your very nice comments about our hotel decor and team!

We completed an extensive remodel project recently throughout the hotel and we are deligted that you enjoyed the new furnishings and decor.

Our team takes great pride in taking care of our guests, and we apprecate your recognition of their efforts, even through conditions such as the snow storm you experienced.

We hope to see you back at Hilton Omaha again soon!

“WOW! What a wonderful Birthday surprise!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

I rely on Hilton Omaha for giving me an experience I can walk away from with a smile on my face. It has become my "Go To" Hotel for staycations here in Omaha.

January 13th was my husbands (50+) birthday. I opted to go all out and get a suite. To help my husband enjoy his B'day, I sent a flyer to Hilton with a picture of us, the time of our arrival and the pictures of our cars for the valet for recognition. I wanted everyone there to wish him a "Happy Birthday". It would have been an added nicety for his experience. Unfortunately, only Jason Chase (front desk manager I believe) was the only one that wished him a Happy Birthday. We had a small issue at checkin, but nothing that wasn't easily remedied.

We dropped off our overnight bags and headed to The Chophouse at the Paxton for a lovely dinner with friends to add to the celebration. We returned on the free shuttle and was greated again by the front desk staff asking how our dinner was.

Our suite had obviously been partially renovated. It was absolutely beautiful! So spacious! So comfortable! Two bathrooms, a full living room, a 3/4 kitchen with small fridge, a table that seated 8 (don't know why so many seats, but it was just that big!), two TV's and a wonderful view.

Upon our return to the room from dinner we were suprised with a gift of a bottle of wine and I found a platter of several different cheeses, fruit, walnuts and flatbread in the fridge with a handwritten note wishing my husband a wonderful birthday from Jason Chase and the Front desk staff. The surprise was much more than we had anticipated and certainly not solicited. That gift was above and beyond what I have experienced at this hotel or any other hotel in the past.....and I have my fair share of stays in a number of different locations.

Wonderful, fabulous, enjoyable! Thank you Jason!!!! You couldn't have made our stay any better, save make our stay free! :) See you next time!

Thank you for staying with us for your 50th birthday celebration!

I have checked with all areas and we do not recall receiving the picture that you mentioned; we would have been delighted to provide that extra WOW factor upon arrival that you were hoping for. If you have future occasions, feel free to call and ask for the Executive Assistant to the General Manager to help coordinate any special needs or requests.

We are proud of Jason and our Front Desk team for capping your stay with a celebration memento and hope your year ahead is full of great memories.

We hope to see you back for a 51st celebration!

“Poor banquet service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

I attended a meeting and banquet last weekend. The food was served family style. First the chicken, then the potatoes and gravy, then the vegetable and muffin. None of the food was hot and the service was poor. I finally got a hot cup of coffee but was never offered a refill. The apple cobbler was warm and served with whipped cream.

Room Tip: I didn't stay overnight so cannot rate the rooms.

“My favorite Hilton”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

As a Hilton Diamond member I stay at many different Hilton properties throughout the USA. This one, however is by far the nicest one I have stayed at.

Exquisite lobby, well apointed rooms, comfortable beds.

The breakfast buffet is the best I have had.

So I understand their remodel is costing 60 million dollars and I will say the rooms an the public areas look very nice. They still charge guests for parking (very small parking garage) which you have to share with Quest Center attendees and the parking garage is open to the publice. 2 years ago i choose to not stay here again because I was kicked out of the parking garage for a sporting even going on at the Quest Center. Decided to give another chance with the remodel.

I choose to pay the upgrade fee to the executive level rather than risk not getting upgrade automatically with my diamond status. There were not a lot of guests over the weekend and from the sound on the executive floor they put every guest up there. Friday night was very a nice evening an quiet. My wife and I ordered room service. $40 for chicken fingers, french fries, club sandwich, and 4 cookies. The chicken and french fries were good but they didn't provide any condiments (so no ketchup). The bacon on the club was literally raw. I had ordered this exact same meal at a Hitlon Garden Inn for $24 and it was very nicely prepared.

The second night was horrible. We got back to the room at 10:30pm from dinner and a movie. Went up to the "Executive" floor to be greated by a couple kids running down the hall and pounding on a door non stop. Then, even though there hotel was almost empty, all the rooms around us had guests in them and at least one had a crying baby, which was easy to hear through the walls. Of course the guests were coming and going up tell around midnight so doors were slamming.

I have given this hotel another chance and found they still are not worth the money. Not when you can go to the brand new Hampton Inn just 2 blocks away and have free parking, free internet, and much better service and quieter rooms.

We apologize for the series of issues during your stay with us and appreciate your desire to enjoy a quiet and relaxing weekend.

We make every effort to correct any shortcomings during our guest's stay, when we are made aware, and have the opportunity to address them at the time.

We have received many compliments of our $37m renovation and the numerous upgrades made based on guests comments:
> Enclosed walkway from the parking garage to the lobby.
> 150 additional parking spaces, in a covered parking garage.
> Refrigerators and safes in all newly remodeled guestrooms.
> Complimentary internet on the entire first floor.
> Just to name a few of the multitude of upgrades and amenities we have available to
our guests.

Concerning the noise, our security staff would have immediately responded to excessive noise complaints and would have addressed the situation; we are a full service property and the 24-hour security staff is part of the service provided to all of our guests.

As noted, the parking garage has been expanded and is covered. Although some use the Hilton Omaha garage to attend events at the CenturyLink Center (formerly Qwest), generally it is to have dinner or cocktails prior to the event and then to use the convenient sky walk to access the convention center. CenturyLink Center does have ample parking of their own as well.

The charge for your room service order has been credited; we certainly do not expect you to pay if your order was not perfectly prepared. We would have been delighted to make this right at the time as well if we had known.

Please know that we genuinely care about our guest's, and want to ensure every stay is enjoyable, our sincere apologies that your stay was not and hope to have the opportunity to make amends.
