Just wanted to give my opinion since i did read these reviews before selecting this hotel....first off the person i made my reservations with several weeks before our trip gave me false information regarding their zoo package. it only includes the zoo dollars, NOT admission tickets. that was my deciding factor and was disappointed to find out that i could have selected another hotel that offers a similar package. such as: Doubletree Downtown, Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown, Best Western Kelly Inn, Regency Lodge...(I was told by the front desk clerk that there were no other hotels that offered a zoo package!) I would have definitely paid another $20 for a hotel that offfered a CLEAN, decent size pool and less of the sarcastic remarks from the staff. The pool was so cloudy and full of hair that it almost looked like the swamp water at the zoo. We couldnt even get an extra towel without them heckeling us about what we did with the towels we already had. C'mon people nobody wants to "steal" your towels! Breakfast was ok, the 1st morning was very crowded but they did have everything filled...the 2nd morning was less crowded but the eggs were gone, no breakfast meat, no yogurt, no fruit. Overall, not much nicer than a Motel 6 but if you are on a strict budget and are planning a trip to the zoo, it is "do-able". Oh yeah..not the best area in Omaha, but is close to the zoo. If we ever come back we definitely will be staying at the Hampton or Fairfield Inn.
