Our bed was comfy, our room was clean, the staff was friendly, breakfast was basic fruit and yogurt, but the pool area was not so good. Other guests had their dog in the pool area and in the hot tub. Yuck!

This is my 12th visit to Omaha and I have stayed in about 9 different hotels. I'm coming back here next year! Omaha hotels really raise their rates the weekend of the Berkshire_hathaway shareholders' meeting. This comfort inn goes from $89 to $139--a bargain compared to most places. Our room was clean; the staff was friendly and helpful; Wi-Fi and breakfast are included; the gym is small but adequate. There is easy access to Omaha's major roadways and we are close to our favorite restaurants.

I work for a family owned hotel so i know what goes into running them. My mom and i and my four girls stayed at the hotel. We called ahead to see what check in time was. They told us 4pm. We had two family parties to go to and we wanted to check in at four and get cleaned up in between the two parties. State track was going on so we had to book for a hotel extremely out of the way. Which made us really rush to get places on time. When we arrived at 4:15pm the room was still dirty from the person before but we needed to get in to it any way to clean up. When we came back it was clean but no fridge. We assumed that was standard with the room since it had a credenza with a specific place for it which was really upsetting since with small children we had lots of food and snacks that had to go bad. The hotel's decor is very nice but they don't know how to keep it up. The stairs, hallways, and vending areas were covered in dirt, rocks, and trash. The swimming pool room no longer has the painted walls or any chairs to sit on so my mom could not stay there and watch the kids swim. It is I think worth the pay but not family friendly. Next time we will try and book earlier some where else.

Contrary to other reviews, we had a very pleasant stay. We had a suite for smoking, as we had requested (they have only three in the hotel), which was very comfortable. Actually, upon arrival we elected to upgrade to the "honeymoon suite" that included a hot tub and fireplace plus two TVs, refrigerator, microwave and king bed. The walls of the room were decorated with island scenes complete with palm trees, etc. Very unusual. As a previous reviewer noted, the shower curtain was a bit short and you had to use care not to get water on the bath floor. The breakfast was very good and the attendant was always there checking and filling things. The front desk staff was most accommodating and the evening shift front desk clerk, Jason (I understand there are two Jasons working there) was extremely helpful, pleasant and interested in US, not just another customer. Quite refreshing! Check out time is 11:00 but we were able to extend it for an additional hour with no trouble. The location is convenient to I-80 and the Millard area that includes lots of stores and restaurants. Across the highway is a Cracker Barrel. The hotel is on a hill, so it can be quite windy and there are windbreaks built around the outside doors. Also, there is a concrete company behind the building at the bottom of the hill where they work Monday through Saturday. Some noise comes from there. I would think that you'd want to request a room on the front of the building in order to avoid the business noise from behind. In all, it was a pleasant stay and we would definitely stay there again.
